I have seen this cat before, as has my pre-teen daughter (it has gotten big on YT recently). And we greatly appreciated hearing this story.

This one doesn’t need speculation, it’s pretty obvious to anyone with a modicum of media literacy (so, not most gamers).

Not really if you consider they are all early teens (14-15) in a extremely isolated community. Having a new girl their age show up I would expect all the kids/teens to come take a look. Kinda like how when a new kid comes to your childhood school mid semester everyone takes a look during the first few days.

Probably depends on if it was an age-appropriate teen boy or if it was an adult 4-chan type.

Watching anybody eat is a little creepy.

It doesn’t look like some random scene. It stands out. So I think it’s meant to be Dina.

But why can’t I, also a gay man, have the option?  Does hurt your experience knowing it’s a thing you could do?

It’s only reasonable if you ignore the fact that romance in Persona 5 is optional. The kind of relationship that the commenter describes would still be present in the game if the player were to choose to take the relationship in a platonic route.

The thing that gets left out with this take is that it exists within a larger context.

This is 100% the correct response. Maybe its a generational thing , but I kind of feel like someone needs to remand the internet that two guys or girls can be close without it being a sexual relationship . That “every character is automatically at least Bi” attitude around shipping is pretty insulting , especially for

You seem to be having a very hard time dealing with other people’s opinions in this world.

So did you arrive at this comments section via magical teleportation or did you click on the article?

LOL. I agree. If I don’t think something is a big deal then everyone else needs to relax about it. Especially if that thing doesn’t personally affect me and I just have a colossally bad take about it.

I never once felt like the developers of this game are subscribing to Rowling’s brand of hate, and that’s the line that needs to be drawn here.

We should improve society somewhat

Thoughtful and excellent commentary and framing, Carolyn, well done and a great read.

You THINK you care about trans rights but the first time that it causes the slightest discomfort for you you get huffy and petulant about it.

Your “allyship” is rooted in convenience and your self-image as a good person, but lacks any substance.

I wish these reviews put up more videos of gameplay. They always link to the trailer that has some crated flashes, but it isn’t really telling.
