Nnnnnnnope, It is just a game. No one should expect "realism" or "a responsible social model" from this game any more-so than from Dinosaur Tycoon. I don't care what you're a professor of, sir, you should maybe ride a horse with shorter stilts on.

"Wait a minute, Doc. If I drive straight towards the screen, I'm gonna crash into those Native Americans."

Well, punk fashion was popular in the late 1970s and the majority of the 1980s.

Ha ha. Ah, I remember that commercial. The Indian was so happy to have been given food!

It's funny cause the squirrel is dead.

YES! Samurai Jack! THEY NEED TO BRING THAT SHOW BACK! *raises fists*

The way the narrator said "Long ago-" at :37 made me think it would be followed with "- in a distant land, I, Aku, the shapeshifting Master of Darkness.... etc."

Yeah, but Martin Freeman is also the butt of the joke in his joke, too. He's making himself like Eric Cartman or Archie Bunker. He's painting himself as an blatant scumbag, and pretending to not realize it.

"He did NOT put himself in the position of appearing abhorrent because, many people do not find that behavior abhorrent"

Misdirection humor is generally lost on people who have a desire to be offended. Which is just so sad, because misdirection comedy requires that the listener be a decent human. Otherwise, it falls totally flat.

It was obviously a joke. He wasn't seriously saying that's not rape, nor that that's what he does. He was trying to be funny. I'm not saying it was an appropriate joke to make, only that he was quite obviously joking. It's a joke I've heard made many times.

I love jokes about everything, and I'm bored.

You know, I hope you are right. I hope the audience does have that reaction when they hear this. Fingers crossed.

Exactly. Horrible people trivialize rape. That is exactly why David Brent's joke was funny, and it was exactly why Martin's was too. They trivialized rape. The audience should hear the joke and think "oh my god, only a real piece of garbage would do that! Why is Marin calling himself a real piece of garbage!?!"

It shows that horrible people trivialize it as a way to get attention!

How can you not know George Carlin and his rape joke about rape jokes?

It completely makes light of rape!! It trivializes it to nothing more than a way to get attention!

Please never express an opinion on comedy ever again.

I love Martin Freeman and give no fucks that he doesn't watch everything he says. He's said some questionable things before and, again, I don't care based purely off of how he conducts himself generally.

"Just imagine porky pig raping Elmer Fudd!"
