If it keeps cars in the US as an fancy-pants alternative to SUVs I’m all for it. That’s how Volvo hung on in the US for a few decades, being in the not quite premium but upscale from the prole market. Subaru’s slipping into commonality while the Alltrak and Buick whats-its-name try to be fancy.
