I dunno I think Sex World is west coast and has almost too much plot, though I do prefer the New York stuff usually.

“Golden Age” is the 15-year period from 1969-1984, so Blue Ice is the only one that technically “doesn’t count.

There was East Coast Porn and West Coast Porn. East Coast porn based in NYC was the one that tended to have a plot and attempts at real acting (many times succeeding very well). In West Coast porns, the plot was minimal.

I always thought the Golden Age of porn was the theater days before Betamax & VHS had everyone thinking they were the Mitchell brothers. Dipping into the mid-80s opens up a huge catalog that I don’t know fits.

Billie was writing incredibly witty and fun lyrics as a young teenager and she’s definitely not a shitty person like Lana, haha. Just because you don’t care for someone’s style of singing doesn’t render them talentless. That’s just silly.

I don’t listen to her, either, but it doesn’t bother me for other people to like her music. It’s funny when people feel the need to make sure everyone knows they don’t like something. It’s like, ok, who cares? It’s even more funny when it’s not enough for someone to say that they don’t like something - they need to

I like Bille’s dress but the makeup choices are suspect. A darker lip would have provided a feature other than her non-lightened eyebrows and played into the pin up theme. The barely-there “nude” make up doesn’t work as intended when the different between the hair and the eyebrows is so great and clearly modified, so

If we’ve learned anything, America is a nation that respects young and attractive women, and have a profound understanding of boundaries and appropriate behavior. I’m sure it will all work out splendidly, and the focus will remain on her work, and not her appearance.

“’I take care of my biological urges!’ You’re supposed to, you dumb motherf*cker! What are you talking about? What you bragging about?

That’s one of my favorites.

I get that but then why toss out vague accusation? You’re still accusing them, if the person being accused has power they’re still going to take it out on you. You’re basically still protecting them while putting a target on yourself.

She once referred to Nanjiani as “the worst”. Considering that she was working with TJ Miller (who is a violent monster) and Middleditch (apparently some kind of pervy sex predator), what does “the worst” mean? Like, he used the last of the coffee creamer? Or he’s a serial killer?

This whole situation in Hollywood feels like a new Chris Rock bit. “’I ain’t never sexually harassed/assaulted anybody!’ What do you want, a cookie?!? You’re not supposed to sexually harass/assault anybody, you low-expectation-having motherfucker!”

She’s also accused Kumail of being awful and kinda implied something about Starr. I wish people wouldn’t speak in code so much.

It screws up your job opportunities in Hollywood if you speak up about people with more power sometimes. Well it did, people seem to be better about that not being the case as much. I’m sure it still happens and will continue to. It's not their fault for not being more vocal.

Alice really can’t catch a break though with the lead star of her new show being a Whedon regular who was defending him against Ray Fisher riiiiiight up until his Buffy co-stars came out and then he got kinda quiet.

I’ve just been super impressed by the ensemble all the way around. The interplay between Asta, Darcy, and Judy just seems so lived-in compared to a lot of other shows.
