Posts like this make me miss the old AV Club. If I gave a shit about Fallon, I’d watch it.

I know Whedon’s star has fallen (for good reason), but I’ll die on the hill that Avengers is the bets MCU movie every and AoU is underrated and the studio screwed it up.  I’ll take him over the Russos any day.

This and Warren’s college plan makes me excited for what’s gonna be championed in the primaries. I’d say that this is even ballsier than Warren’s plan.

He’s running.

Really going with the ‘free stuff’ GOP talking point?  I pay my fair share of taxes.  It’s about time others did and said taxes went to something worthwhile.

Liked the Battle of Titan mainly for crazy Strange stuff, and it involved characters acting appropriate to their powersets.

Between that giving and Thor is eye back and giving Thor another weapon, IW really backtracked on Ragnorak.

True, but character’s powers differing depending on who they fight is kinda a comicbook staple.

Valkyrie lived, so I’m cool with the whole scene.

This moment was a surprise. I knew ‘the snap’ was too obvious, but was thinking you’d go for the Battle of Wakanda. I’m glad you didn’t because IMO. One of the weakest major action setpieces in the MCU. Out of all the ways to do a battle running at each other in broad daylight was disappointing.

Yeah. People say that Team Cap is on the run in IW is a big change, but you hardly see it. None of them seem to be afraid to getting caught. Even Vision can meet with with Scarlet Witch on the reg.

Cersei is defeated in the next episode. Last four is Dany negotiating loans with Bravos, and Tyrion renovating Casterly Rock.

Yeah, BP was good, but unimpressive. I hope Coogler can really let loose in number two. I want an action scene as dynamic as those in Creed.

Agreed that third act drops off, but the ending is a gut punch. Despite flaws First Avenger told a simple focused story that paid off with a great character arc. Whereas IW was a bunch of scenes of differing quality.

Some thoughts:

They better do something with Dany being so hostile and paranoid, or this forced tension will have been really stupid.

I kinda hope the Night King reveals himself to Bran in the next episode and is easily killed by Theon. Then the army of the dead is immediately destroyed. The rest of the episode is everyone being disappointed standing around Winterfell.

Jon CLEARLY doesn’t want higher power so it makes no sense for Dany to be so threatened.

I hope they make it a quick 90 min movie instead of padding the source material.

Omitting that AOC primaried a better funded senior incumbent before the general is glaring.  It is a clear showing that her vision resonated with voters and not just the D next to her name.
