Not really though. By the time he was far enough ahead of the camera truck to move over, he was basically side-by-side with the vehicle entering the highway.

To everyone whose first reaction has been “the slow car in the left lane should get out of the way”, please note a few things after you wipe the drool from your mouths.

Assuming the guy doing the filming was doing roughly the speed limit, and he seems to be keeping pace with the guy up ahead of him so it seems like a reasonable assumption... then the guy being harassed is passing at a reasonable rate of overtake in the left lane and therefore is doing pretty much exactly as he should…

Youre wrong. Guy in the left lane was overtaking a truck, leaving room for a car to merge on the highway and then overtaking a van. Its pretty clear if you actually watch the video.

I just can’t fathom a world where the front driver who flashed their brakes is held responsible for the rear driver’s inability to maintain control of their vehicle. I would also add that “brake checking” is completely legal, while tailgating is often ticketed as “wreckless driving.” And yet we are scoffing at the law abiding citizen and feeling sympathetic for the aggressive dumbass? Clearly I don’t belong with this group of readers...

Yikes, no comments on how easily that Trailblazer lost it. That is what I found most shocking.

I dont think this guy was being a lane hog at all. He was passing a slow truck at a spot where a slow car was entering the freeway and a car in the right lane was going even slower. He was passing everyone when he was in the left lane. So I dont see a lane hog here, just an asshole talegater.
