True. But perjury nonetheless.
True. But perjury nonetheless.
OK.
Now who’s splitting hairs? Sitting POTUS lying under oath to a grand jury is legitimately impeachable, as it should be. It doesn’t matter what the lie was about.
I loved Wire Season 4, just as much as the previous ones (S2 took some time to warm to).
Oh, I mean for my own high-horsing. Of course it won’t matter when it is confirmed Trump lied under oath. Nothing matters anymore!
Actually, I found a clip of the show coming back from break, and you can hear the faint melody of it right at the end. https://www.gonintendo.com/stories/299895-zelda-s-song-of-storms-played-on-the-late-show-with-stephen-col
Holy crap, I’m pretty sure it was—one hell of a subtle joke. They didn’t get to the telltale melody (A, C-down, C-up, A, C-down, C-up...), though, so hard to know.
Dude lied under oath to a grand jury (i.e. criminal perjury). That’s a big effing deal. Certainly, when Trump inevitably lies to his grand jury, I want that to mean something.
Actually, @FilthFlarnFilth is right in a roundabout way—*NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye” was about none other than, you guessed it, Frank Stallone
While you’re at it, search for “Action Family”—the absurdly ahead-of-its-time Chris Elliott one-off special. Elliott stars as a cop in a gritty action movie that transforms into a hacky 80s sitcom (formalistically too) every time he sets foot in his house. It is proto-Community and a forgotten gem.
Community and The Good Place are so successful at this, I think, because they actively engage with and respond to to the very nature of the sitcom itself. Community was practically an essay on the nature of the sitcom, told in the form of a sitcom.
Can’t speak to the Australian original, but the US version is insanely good. A perfect vehicle for Andy Daly, a goddamned national treasure.
My recollection is the rumors were more that he was a horrible partner and borderline sociopath. Was there more to it?
My friend’s mom was big into Sonic Spinball.
Except that Descendents register as an 80s band, while Reel Big Fish and Everclear are pure 90s.
Wonder Years too.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn is another great co-op game, particularly given it’s low difficulty and stress level (heck, you can’t even die!). On the opposite end of the difficulty spectrum, but still fun, is the Wii DKC (the name eludes me).
The co-op mode gets so much unwarranted hate. I have logged hours and hours into co-op New Super Mario Bros Wii—including with fellow adults and with very young nephews—and it is delightful every time. Can it be chaotic and frustrating? Yep, all part of the fun.
“Do we really need to get to a point where everything is viewed in extremes without any nuance?”
I’m currently playing Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the first time—on N64 and a big ol’ tube TV, as intended—and absolutely adoring it. The three-day cycle mechanic is ingenious, it overflows with character, and its melancholic, fatalistic tone is a thing of beauty. Oh, and Tingle!
