It absolutely is a conservative issue. If this was really a “rogue” actor, where are all of the “conservative” officials (congresspeople, President, etc.) condemning it? If the “conservatives” wanted to stop this, they could and would. They don’t.

Believe it or not, I finally returned to Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time this year, having realized that I never came close to beating it as an ADD-addled 13-year-old without the patience to see anything through.

I am not overly in-the-know, but he at least as some minimalism bona fides—he recorded a version of Steve Reich’s iconic Electric Counterpoint, and Reich wrote a piece (albeit very minor Reich) specifically influenced by Radiohead.

My cousin, in “blue” Massachusetts, literally wrote on Facebook that electing pedophile Moore is “better than a Democrat.” And, yes, this was in direct response to a question about how “moral” Republicans can vote for a pedophile. Oh, and she is not a nutjob, but an ordinary, run-of-the-mill “conservative” Trump…

My reasons are probably similar—my friend had Mega Man II, but I had III so spent way more time with it.

Now THIS is the kind of thread I want out of AVClub. (That Robocop track is excellent, by the way, and I had never heard it).

YES.  Though I’ll go to bat for Mega Man III’s entire soundtrack, which is terrific and in my mind the equal or maybe even better of II’s.

As many others here have pointed out, this is not a legal issue—he has not been sued or prosecuted. His employer was totally within its rights to fire the guy (indeed, employers can fire people for any reason, even bad reasons, or for no reason at all).

I actually engaged Monkey Boy recently—and when I say “engaged,” I mean I had a respectful conversation with him, rather than shouting him down with insults as usually happens—and he is actually far more thoughtful and reasonable than you would think from his comments.

As a serial rewatcher, I don’t think so. 30 Rock joked about him, but targeted his inanity (I think they did a drinking game where they drink every time he gives an idiotic travel tip).

This is a very important moment in history, when real predators are being unmasked, shamed, and toppled. This reckoning is a long time coming and decades overdue.

Just listened to Dirty John this week based on the last Podmass. I think I devoured the whole thing in 2 days. Just fantastic, gripping stuff. And while I usually get a little squeamish on gawking at true crime, the story was told respectfully and with the extensive involvement of the relevant people.

Yeah, I’m really hoping that the “Future” stuff goes somewhere (I just have the finale left to watch). The editing is oppressive and distracting, and while I get that it likely is supposed to illustrate the Maria’s withering psyche resulting from having to act on the show, a little bit could have gone a long way. 

The animals on this show—especially Tink—bring me instant joy.  I could watch a Tink spinoff all day.

This was another great episode.
