Agreed... story line looks kind of weak and they showed everything. Alien ship lands. Soldiers go and extract and either succeed or fail. Soldiers are being questioned at a military facility. Predator comes to finish the job / hunt. Big ass Predator comes.
Here in NYC we have one trash can that fits everything and all garbage including recyclables are “sorted out” in New Jersey (I think). Seriously doubt it’s sorted out. Another note is offices have to use private companies to deal with all waste, which I’ve seen the cleaning staff just toss everything together.
It’s more on social commentary and I guess in terms of horror it was more on the lines like an Alfred Hitchcock type of “suspense” / “horror”. I thought the film was more of an entertaining experience on the alienation / subtle jabs on how it’s like to be black in America.
Only scene I felt that wasn’t that necessary was when Thor had to open up the beam to make his Axe. They could have saved a couple of mins there and moved it to something else.
