When I was 13 I decided that Paradise City would be my big funeral song, so I'll probably just stick with that.

The first time I watched The Royal Tenenbaums I was generally confused for the first third, was actively disliking it through the second act, and then it all came around and I was bawling when Ben Stiller had his "it's been a tough year" moment through the scene in the ambulance. It was also my first exposure to Wes…
Ohhh, nice! Maybe I'll go this year.
If Jason Mantzoukas is no longer in The Dictator you should probably let him know via Twitter.
All the little chicks with the crimson lips yell
Cleveland Twat! Cleveland Twat!
Do we have three AV Club commenters from Maine in this thread? And I remember seeing a while ago that Zach Handlen's twitter lists him as living in Lewiston. We should probably have a holiday meetup, possibly to see this movie if it comes here.
I'm sure Paul LePage is blaming the liberal media for that, or something.
The dance crew is definitely Dancy Reagan and not Floorgasm.
Whenever I hear Semisonic's "Closing Time" I immediately think about Tomb Raider 2. There was a period of several months in high school when every day I'd get home, turn on the radio, and play Tomb Raider 2 or TIE Fighter for a few hours. The modern rock station would play their top 5 most requested songs at 5pm…
Based on the novel C by A.A. Dowd.
In the scene where they're listening to the recording of Cary talking to Bishop's men, did anyone else feel like after Diane asked Kalinda for updates the camera paused for a split-second before panning over to the phone, giving a brief impression that she was actually going to be in the room with Alicia? It seemed…
Doomachu? ElDoom? DoomerTime? I'm not sure who is most likely…
Constantine's house is bigger on the inside and he has a card that can show whatever he needs it to. Sounds a bit familiar…
I tried playing Rogue Legacy and on my second or third generation my character caused everything to be upside-down and backwards and I immediately thought, "well, I'm too old to figure this out". I'm sure I'll get back to it at some point though…
This weekend I'll be finishing up the main story in Far Cry 3 and probably cleaning up a few random side missions and taking down the last two enemy camps. Man this game has been loads of fun. After that I'll probably dig back into Assassin's Creed IV and maybe try to survive another day or two in Don't Starve. I…
I felt the same way about Bioshock: Infinite. The story and atmosphere made it worth playing, but the game mechanics seemed really simplified. It didn't have the hacking minigames of the first Bioshock, and I don't think it had options to craft your own ammo either. Even the skyrail based combat never felt like it…
Also, *clink*.
Did he? What a dick.
Brie Larson is just the best.
In Maine our democratic candidate for Governor came out near the
beginning of the campaign….and he ended up losing to the piece of shit
Republican governor who's been f*cking up our state for the past four
years.
