For 16 years I lived in Houston. Eight of those years I drove a Pontiac Solstice, so I had to keep my head on a swivel so I could dodge everyone not looking before switching lanes. My record was 3 near-misses in 30 seconds as I had to stop, swerve or accelerate out of the way.

Luckily there were plenty of standard transmissions available here in Denver when I went looking for one. I love my little 124. At 6'3" it is cozy. And so much fun in the windy mountain roads that are only half an hour from my doorstep.

Toyotas. Every one of them (that includes the ones branded Lexus or Scion). Because when you are 6'4" in 1988, learning to drive in one of your parents early ‘80s Toyotas, you realize that they just did not make those cars for full-sized adults. [I still owned a Toyobaru, though... they’re way too much fun.]
