While he was scheming against the Emperor by this point, Vader is still a rage fueled killing machine. He thrives in battle and almost seems to resent it when he’s left idle. Like that short, the newer Darth Vader comics show just how relentless and scary he is, when he’s fighting.

The CGI one took its place as canon. That being said, the Clone Wars TV series went into some really mature territory too, at times. There are some weak episodes, but some really great story arcs as well. And they do a lot more to round out Anakin’s and the Jedi’s characterization in Revenge of the Sith.

After a while, you’ll eventually just get a handful of of your favorite primary spirits to switch between, based on the type of your opponent. After that, it’s just equipping support spirits to negate stage effects and the like.

Just playing through World of Light will unlock the characters in a pretty steady fashion. Also, you’re guaranteed to have a “Challenger Approaches” event each time you finish Classic Smash. Plus, you’ll get more Challenger Approaches over time by heading back to the main menu.

It does pay to remember that a surprisingly large number of soldiers died of indirect fire (artillery strikes and bombings) and the ravages of protracted trench warfare than from actual enemy soldiers. At heart, most people don’t want to kill other people.

Fun operation, that one. But I think its balance needs to be tweaked a bit in favor of the attackers, as I’ve yet to see an attacking team win, despite impressive efforts. I think giving the attackers an extra offensive attempt might do the trick.
