With the Passport program not reaching US shores, I have to wonder if this means that PSN will suddenly have most of the other missing PSP games in their library or simply have a big sale on existing PSN PSP content with the release of the Vita. I know that they'd rather people buy new Vita games for the system but

Got relatives coming over so I don't expect to be playing anything aside from Dance Central, Kinect Sports: Season One, and Fruit Ninja Kinect. If I do get to play anything else it'll probably be The Simpsons Arcade Game and more of Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning (PS3) in preparation for a review.

Saw the Foal in One vid before but not the others so thanks much for that. I'm certainly grabbing this game but I also wouldn't mind if someone created a fan-made PC playable version of this game.

It's both local and online co-op so you should be fine.

Yep, Marge had the vacuum. Homer was the only one who came without weapons.

Interesting. There's actually quite a good number of PSP games to recommend for first time owners and based on what you've listed down it seems like almost everything is fair game. Off the top of my head I could recommend Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, J'eanne D'Arc, Final Fantasy IV Complete, Tactics Ogre,

Nope, I'm excited as well. Spent countless hours on both the arcade machine and on MAME playing that game. Can't wait to actually own it and put its achievements on my Gamercard.

Of the ones you mentioned, Crisis Core is the only one from the list that's not on PSN. As someone who has already pre-ordered the Vita and gotten some PSP games when they got discounted, I'm also curious to see if the Legacy library of games will jump in the next month to compliment the system release.

Ah, Lumines. More than any other game this was the reason I got my PSP at launch and come Feb 22 history will repeat itself again. I just hope that I can get some Uncharted Golden Abyss time before letting myself go to this game.

Well written article, Mr. Good. Always good to see a touching, human story like this in the unlikeliest of places.

XBMC on an original Xbox is great but mostly for standard definition content, music, and videos. Once you try to push some 720p content and above the old thing just can't handle it all that well.

Something doesn't add up here. First off, the placement looks off. Why are the C and D buttons over the A and B ones?Wouldn't that break the flow of a game like KOF since the punch buttons are usually A and B while kicks are C & D? Also, why does this thing need widescreen and why does it need 2 L and R buttons? I

The article did state that the video was running the Matrix mod on top of the game. I'd like to think that the base game still has terrorist/counter-terrorist sides.

Some Choplifter HD and Eufloria for me this weekend. The latter one intrigues me since I've heard so many mixed things about it so I'm hoping its more good than bad.

Thanks much for the recommendation and for the warning about the game's possible performance issues on other PS3 models. Though I didn't care much for Soul Calibur III, I might have to hunt that down as well as find a relative with a 60GB system just so I could see things for myself.

I really wish my BC PS3 was still alive but outside of Final Fantasy XII, what other games would you say look good via the upscaling? It is entirely possible that I just might not have the games that do the upscaling justice.

Yeah, I've seen the upscaler and, honestly, they could have done better with it. It might be that I'm spoiled by how the 360 handled their upscaling but older Xbox games run on the 360 translated better to HDTVs than PS2 games upscaled on a PS3.

Honestly, I'd go for the HD remake. Having seen games like God of War played on my BC PS3 (when it was still alive) and comparing that to the PS3 HD remake, the remake was much easier on my eyes. While not all PS2 games deserve the remake, I do think that the really significant ones should get the treatment.

I'm wondering, then, if this is the route they'll be going for instead of committing to HD ports of PS2 titles. While I would much rather they just put in the extra work to go with at least 720p and Trophy support, if the cost outweighs the benefits then I can see this as being a viable enough alternative.

Quite a few, actually, and I mean few. Off the top of my head they have Bloodrayne, Tak 2: Staff of Dreams, Stuntman Ignition, God Hand, Odin Sphere, Maximo, Ring of Red, GimGrimoire, and Full Spectrum Warrior.
