I wish I could anti-star this.

It’s hard to overestimate how happy it can make young people from underrepresented groups seeing themselves reflected in the stories they love, especially since it’s so uncommon. I speak from experience!

Why doesn’t anyone make this brilliant argument for the many examples of heterosexual romance, humor, innuendo, relationships in Star Wars? Most fully fleshed our characters have their sexuality revealed at some point.

I love Animal Crossing, but this game just doesn’t have the magic. Where are the seasonal changes and events? The museum?? It’s a stripped down version where crafting is essentially the only mechanic. Even the interactions with the characters center 90% around crafting.

The Netflix shows have gotten so disappointing that I’m happy to have them sandboxed away in their own universe.

Most people? In terms of violence and sexual assault, it seems to be almost entirely men. I actually think we need better education for young men about consent and keeping themselves out of situations where they might do something they regret. Many colleges do this now, but maybe high school is a better place to start.

Yeah. Movie reviews come out before the movie so people can decide what they want to go see. A late review is a missed publicity opportunity, and studios pay millions for publicity. Obviously the AV Club is just one outlet, but you can’t pretend they didn’t take a stance (and help publicize the issue as well).
