You don't get it you don't get it you don't get it
You think Murphy is so out of touch that he has a straight male character in a 2015 show name a rom-com from the 90s as his favorite movie? Are you serious? It was obviously intended to be absurd.
You know how some people have difficulty detecting sarcasm? Those are the same people who bash campy comedies for how "terrible" they are, not realizing that everything "terrible" about it is completely intentional and entertaining.
It's not a train wreck if it's intentional. This show is accomplishing exactly what it set out to accomplish, and nailing it.
This kind of humor just obviously doesn't work for LaToya, and while I respect her as a reviewer, I think she should probably let someone else review this show - someone whose comedic sensibilities are more in line with it. Otherwise it will just be week after week of "But there was very little character development,…
The cafeteria scene was a parody of Tumblr feminism. It was supposed to be stupid.
You didn't get that scene at all did you?
So you like the frat guys, the ghetto code stuff, the Backstreet Boys stuff, and the Red Devils. But you don't like anything else in the show. I think I'm sensing a pattern.
"The rare times the segment is self-aware of how ridiculous Chanel herself is"
"I realize they are not exactly going for realistic"
I always hear these kinds of complaints about campy/kitschy shows. It makes no sense to me. The purpose of a show like this is not to make you root for the characters or fall in love with them. All of the characters are ridiculous and idiotic. You're supposed to watch the show and be amused. So far I'm finding it…
I'm pretty sure Grace is one of the killers. The whole "Aw shucks, I'm so likable!" thing has to be a misdirect. She's the bathtub baby and she's out for revenge because she thinks the sorority ruined her mother's life. She pretends to love sororities but it's all a cover.
Yeah why did so many people not get this? Season 2 of AHS was brilliant.

He assumed eyes were on him and didn't want to lead anyone to Ani. He had to leave the US or he would be killed after what happened with the Russians. What was his way out, exactly?
I think they knew he was a goner anyway. They probably got a tip-off from the guys who gave him the escape car. Or possibly they had heard what happened with the Russians and surmised that Frank might have a big payout.
The beginning of the season was slow and occasionally groan-worthy, but it got much better as it went along. And yet people are being unfair to this finale because the general consensus had already turned negative. This happens all the time with shows, but a clear sign is when people start pointing out plot holes that…
I haven't been a fan of this season but I loved the finale. Redeemed the whole show for me. I think it will be looked back on as a classic.
The women in the bathroom looked pretty out of it though.
