Had a friend describe Stray as a “Point and click adventure” and I was like gtfo.

I recently got into a debate about game genres where the person said his favorite RPGS included God of War, HFW, Trine 2 and It Takes Two. I feel genres are being outgrown. Same as with Music.

I wan more “kinda like Deus Ex” games though.  Still.  To this day.

And I thought we just called Deus Ex an RPG.

I understand all of those words, but not in that order.

If I liked GoldenEye at all, which I don’t.”

eh, I’d argue the Switch got the better deal. 4K graphics for a game that came out 25 years ago (that’s right folks, a quarter century, feel every minute of that one) will not really change much.

The new DuckTales is excellent though.

Time to unreasonably get people’s hopes up!

Fun fact — the source code to the Sega Genesis and unreleased Super Nintendo versions of the game were legally released years ago. I’m surprised fans haven’t seemed to have done anything interesting with the source code since.

Friday Monsters is one of my favorite games ever! I bought this one solely on the strength of that. It’s basically the same game but with dinos in place of kaiju and an anime skin slapped on, from what I've played so far.

I am very confused: why would a venue contract for 2021 be meaningful for an event in 2023? And wouldn’t have AGDQ known all this a year ago, when they should have been able to schedule something somewhere else fairly straightforwardly?

Dang, that could not have been an easy decision. Bailing on a hotel/venue contract is hella expensive. I would have honestly not blamed them if they just did one last event there to save themselves from taking that financial hit.

Orlando is actually very liberal ( my district in downtown Orlando went for Biden by a roughly 80-20 margin), but I don’t blame them for avoiding FL in general. DeSantis sucks, and the redneck parts of the state tend to outvote us in the cities.

I work for a small weekly newspaper that was bought by a large international media organization.
