Not sure if you’re interested, but I can share many a story about my experiences in the industrial automation industry, which has very similar attitudes toward crunch (it may actually be worse than in gaming, not that any crunch is acceptable) and unions (simply saying the word can get you pulled aside and threatened).

Same here. If Castlevaina Bloodlines gets announced for the upcoming Castlevaina collection then the Sega Mini will be a pass for me.

That’s weird, I always felt that the writing was the only thing holding the game back. BL2 was such a cringefest, most of the people I play with, myself included, turned off the dialogue audio before long.

You put into words what this piece made me think about. The last time I had a hospital stay, I was being detoxed from alcohol and I completely lost the first two days. Not like any blackout I had ever had, with the occasional memories or reminders, just days that were black nothing to me. In real life, I regained

Sure looks that way at least to me. People are going to hate because it’s Apple but honesty if the pricing is right i dont see anything wrong with it on the contrary i think its kinda awesome. I hate microtransactions with a passion and ads are annoying of course but the main thing is that the developers if they want

I’ll be sure to check in with NoelVeiga in the future before making any jokes on the internet, to make sure I don’t upset NoelVeiga. We good?

It is not spanish. The language is officially named valencià, and is a variant of the català language. In Spain we speak several different languages.

So online required 24/7, no lending games, no used games, basically the original Xbox One Microsoft wanted to launch which then got shit on by everyone. Now the question is, will consumers shit on this, or eat it up even though they were against it years ago?

Streaming-optional sounds amazing and I’m all for it. I could have all kinds of fun with RPGs and strategy games on the go.

Congrats on triggering the same angry entitled commenters as these poor devs have to deal with.

“organizing and giving feedback”

Did Anthem not brick consoles at or close to launch?

You are conflating the idea of levying valid, reasonably-delivered criticism with the issuance of death threats and needlessly profane rants.

No one is arguing that you as the consumer do not have the right to voice concerns with the quality of a product for which you have paid; we (and the article itself) are arguing

This just makes me think of the people who sent death threats to Tomm Hulett of Konami because Silent Hill: Downpour’s fog was less dense than they wanted. Ugh.

Nobody is saying you can’t give negative feedback to devs. They’re saying to cut out the hostility and flaming. You can just as easily type “dude, this game is unfinished and that’s really disappointing, idk if I’m going to buy from you guys again” as you can “FUCK YOU WITH THE UNFINISHED GAMES i’m so SICK of EA and

The number of people I’ve encountered who are hostile AND don’t understand how programming, AAA development, creative work in commercial environments, or narrative structure work is ridiculous. It’s completely fine to have an opinion, and some things will naturally make people angry, but the amount of bullshit devs

There’s a big difference between feedback, and hostility. The community manager’s reply was to a very long, post that did a good job at being constructively critical, and even prefaced it by acknowledging that there are people on the other end, and that he was going from a place of good. Unlike some comments that call

You realize that community managers are different from devs getting involved to have a constructive conversation with fans, right?

Wahhhh i just wanna be an asshole they should take responsibility for their actions but i shouldn’t wahhh”

You sure showed them. And people wonder why devs never "listen to the fans"
