“as consumers become more discerning about the products they buy”
Lead aside, I don’t get why people go for these over non-toxic plastic bottles. The non-toxic plastics don’t dent when you drop them and don’t scratch when you drag them. If you’re out and about with a metal water bottle it will eventually dent.
The tone of this article is honestly stupid. Built in skepticism is entirely misplaced here. Do better Gizmodo.
Is there anything liberals wont fear monger over?
you think that’s bad, you’ll flip if you read deadspin articles. they’re completely filled with typos, misspellings, and homonyms.
What is all the fuzz about? Most of the tap water in the US contains lead. So yeah even showering makes you dumb. And the alternative bottled water contains millions of microplastic particles that give you cancer and imune deseases. Your drinking bottle is the least of your problems.
There is more lead in a common fishing lure or hunting rifle/shotgun ammunition. I have been using both lead-containing fishing lures and ammo for nearly 50 years with zero ill effects, and neither of those sources are sealed off by metallic plates. As long as tou don’t actually consume the lead, it really presents no…
So what you are saying is that the people using these cups already have pretty low IQs, so a little lead exposure wouldn’t do much more harm
This is a gigantic nothingburger. Even if the protected cap came off, you’d have to try really hard to ingest the lead. Move along, nothing to see here.
We’re looking at you, Stanley.
If you eat that fucking thing, and you eat enough of them to cause detectable harm...you’ve gotta really be trying. Fucking nothing of a story from day 1 just like the hype on these stupid cups
Now do Lord Stanley’s Cup
While experts say there is no risk to using Stanley cups that are in perfect condition, do you really want to take the risk
Good ol’ clickbait - can’t keep the lights on without clicks, and I’d imagine after losing Deadspin they’re income isn’t what it used to be.
“if people touch the lead pellet inside their cups and then touch food, they could expose themselves to lead.”
People are still upset about this???
I only see a good opportunity for Stanley here.
-Same cup
A flash trend sparked by social media contains little substance and turns out maybe is actually bad for your health?
“Wear" the lead is? C'mon man.
