What’s the difference between shwarma and just any other rotisserie meat? I know the article says that they’re different, but I can’t really understand how. Is it because it’s a lump of parts rather than the whole bird being rotisseried? And what’s up with the “sear burner” part?

I’m eager to see a study that attempts to explain why some people experienced side effects of the vaccines while others did not.  Certainly everybody is different, and everyone’s body responds differently, but it makes me wonder if there’s some common trait that makes some (like my dad, who went about his routine and

As vaccination rates increase, breakthrough infections will become more statistically common. That doesn’t mean that the vaccines are less effective — it just means that the ratio of vaccinated to non-vaccinated people is growing.

Honeycrisp have been my favorite for years, but they have some drawbacks. They’re expensive (more like “moneycrisp,” amirite?), and they also spoil easily. I have to be very diligent looking through the bunch to make sure that none of them have any spots or else they won’t last long.

This driver isn’t going to help with the trucker shortage I read about in today’s Morning Shift by driving like that.

I thought that this sounded familiar, and I was reminded of an old Jalopnik article about how terrifying it’ll be once Dodge Challenger Hellcats reach the hands of their third owners.

I like it when the side effects are the same as the condition the medicine is trying to cure.

I’d be curious to understand the circumstances that prompted that inclusion because “Do not use X if you are allergic to X” appears in almost every Rx medication ad these days.

I’ve used the McD’s and CFA apps for curbside pickup, and they worked great. I didn’t bother to do the math on the rewards system (I don’t go frequently enough to really make anything like that worthwhile), but the convenience is excellent.

I have vague memories of commercials that stated: “Ask your doctor if XXXX is right for you” without explaining what condition the medication was intended to treat. At first I thought it was just my kid brain not paying close enough attention to the rest of the ad, but I made it a point to pay attention on future

Bingo. Ask someone to watch a 13-minute advertisement, and they’ll be smashing the “skip ad” button before you can finish the question (it is a brave man who browses the internet in 2021 without a decent adblocker); but make someone think that it’s something that they’re not supposed to see, and they’ll actively seek

The documentary “Hot Coffee” really opened my eyes to the facts of the case and how incorrectly they were understood in the media and popular culture.

This is what they’re talking about when they say “Don’t buy someone else’s project.” Not the completed restomod, not the car with some aftermarket bits bolted on, but the unfinished mess that leaves the new owner to figure out what exactly was done, how it was done, and what’s left to do (and maybe what needs to be

Yep. Gotta look at the big picture — not just one transaction.

I might check this out. I’ve always avoided this program because I find the concept of grown adults portraying children to be downright unsettling (I don’t even like the shows that cast twenty-somethings as high schoolers), but when it’s animated, that’s not really an issue.

Oh, that’s interesting! I wasn’t aware that those existed. I’m pretty sure my state doesn’t have something like that yet, but it seems like it’d be a good backup to a traditional license card.

Why would you have to hand your device over instead of just slipping your ID out of the phone case? Admittedly I don’t get pulled over very often, but I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to hand over your whole wallet to the officer when he asks for your license.

They should do Gatorade next. I think it’s the electrolyte content (it’s what plants crave!) that keeps it from freezing solid, so it comes out with the texture of a slushie — very refreshing after some exercise.

I’ll admit that my only exposure to the subject has been these “don’t take the horse medicine” articles — I haven’t seen the ones claiming that it works (I don’t get my news from those sources). So when I pictured someone who would try using animal medicine, I immediately thought of someone who was out of all other
