I once worked for a manager who would decline any meeting that didn’t include an agenda or at least a stated purpose. It was remarkable how efficiently meetings were run when all attendees had just a little basic information going in.

It’s too late to make jokes about the stuck boat.  That ship has sailed.

If your fingers are so germy that licking them would be unsafe, then you also probably shouldn’t be using them to pick up and eat fried chicken. And conversely, if they’re clean enough to eat with, then there shouldn’t be any harm in licking.

They lost me when they solicited “car/driving mysteries you’ve always wondered about”... then just reposted screengrabs of the questions without bothering to answer them or even research them!

Your right about that ;)

I was embarrassed to be included in one of these recently.  I like being part of the conversation in the comments, but lately I’ve been avoiding the QOTD “articles” because I don’t want to enable this nonsense.

It’s not about the numbers — it’s about getting that sweet “hybrid” badge (does this even have one? I can’t see it in the pictures) to show the other moms at Whole Foods that you really care about the environment.

There’s kind of a weird feedback loop built into eBay where all it takes is one wacko to list something for a crazy-high price, and then others to jump on board, under the impression that their items are rare and valuable as well.

Where I live it’s easy to walk around the neighborhood or run or bike on the trail while keeping a safe distance from anyone else. It’s no different than going without a mask in the backyard.  I’m pretty sure Erik lives in

Wait, they have motorcycles at those Harley Davidson stores?  I thought they were just t-shirt shops!

It worked out well for me. It took a long time (about 8 months, I think), but I was fine with that as I was in no rush. I was unsure whether I’d get a good deal, but the dealer honored the Costco price (a prenegotiated $XXX below dealer invoice price). The only negative was that the car had a spoiler installed, which

I don’t know much about SEMA. I don’t even know what the letters stand for. But from what I understand, it’s a trade show: an opportunity for companies to present their products.

there’s no joyriding to be had with 3hp

Any car company would be pretty safe making that statement since even the companies with the highest percentage of female owners are below 50%

Does AAA still make TripTiks? My parents used to always get one of those — even for routes that they knew like the back of their hand — and allowed me to track our progress on it.  I really liked it, and it kept me occupied and informed!
