I’ll admit that I am out of touch with the SUV/CUV market, but I always thought that the Trailblazer was much bigger — about the size of a Ford Explorer or Jeep Cherokee. Did they rename that tiny rental lot special SUV thing the Trailblazer?

I’m not here to defend Twitter, but situations like this remind me of a perspective that was shared with me a long time ago. Just as internet access was becoming widespread, there was a lot of hand-wringing over whether it was “bad” and how it could be dangerous for kids to be online. An educator stated that the

Lunchables are definitely charcuterie for kids, but I wouldn’t consider them to be “what poor people eat” either. For what you’re getting, Lunchables are expensive. You’re paying not for the food but for the convenience of having it all sliced up and packaged for you. Paying for convenience is a luxury.

A car that runs and has tags on it doesn’t look any different than one that’s broken and unregistered.

The part about this saga that I don’t fully understand is that, to me, the cleanup criteria don’t necessarily address the underlying issue.

Y’know, now that you mention it, some of my favorite hobbies over these past few months are the same as my favorite hobbies when I was a kid.

Yeah, I’m inclined to agree now. At the time, it was all I knew, and it worked out ok, I guess. The rates I got were marginally better than my savings account, so at least I was earning something.

I wasn’t much of an investor when I bought my house, so at that time, my investing was limited to Certificates of Deposit. They worked out fairly well for the purpose, though. I had my down payment savings in a series of CDs that matured around the time I was ready to buy. Interest rates were garbage, but they were

It reminds me of David Duchovny’s Porsche on Californication.

What am I looking at in the title photo? It looks like some sort of knockoff iMac. Is some company making “retro” iMacs now similar to the mini NES, SNES, Atari, PS1, etc consoles that have been hitting the market? I always wanted an iMac when they first came out and would probably consider picking up a reproduction.

I’m still struggling to figure out “why”. Why would someone go through the trouble of internationally shipping a bunch of seeds? What’s in it for them?

[T]hese aren’t designed to entrap smart and clever people like you. They’re made for people who aren’t paying that much attention to the details of what they’re doing online

What’s in it for Yotta? They’re certainly not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. They’ve got to be making money somehow.

First of all, I am amazed at your wrenching skills to be able to take some of these heaps and fix them up into running, driving, at least somewhat reliable drivers. That’s incredible!

The periodontist?  My dentist Dr. Whatley went to dental school with him.
