Yes please right away now please.
Though going by the banner image my first thought was 'this remake of Indiana Jones looks rather classy'.

Ben and Leslie were definitely the heart of the show and a model for a really great yet believable relationship - to the point where if I see either actor in a film or show with a different romantic interest I get a little bit sad.

'Zach Braff make people suicidal' is a lot stronger than my usual indifferent thoughts of Zach Braff but I don't know anything.

She's like if Laura Palmer was alive the whole time and a villain.

Did I miss this week's review of the show?

This is all v good but might I tentatively suggest: dijon mustard. Just a dab.

Sadly, even Elisabeth Moss's greatness was not enough to get me through even one episode of that.

This was certainly what I thought over in the UK. Americans in general into adulthood look sturdier and a bit taller than people over here, so it does track.

I remember trying to read the book at 15 (and in a pretty low mood generally then) and just saying 'nope, can't'. I haven't picked it up since. It was too much.

At least in my family there's lots of 'when I die…' and I've heard 'none of this will matter a hundred years after you're dead' a few times (I think it's more an unsaid thing ingrained).

Yes, though it's generally elements in a film - for example, the treatment of grief or understanding of mortality is so different between Scotland (where I'm from) and America (Where I've lived and know quite well). One example is Synedoche, NY - I know, weird film anyway. But the fact it goes on too long about the

I'd like to see that, but also perhaps some other era or place he understands really well. His films are at their best when there is a strong root to anchor them. One of the reasons Crimson Peak didn't work for me is because his versions of England and America are just kind of floating there. It's small details like

Nobody killed Jason: the body is a decoy planted by the local chapter of the sinister government agency for paranormal research / highly powered low-vocal teenage girls.

Thanks! Good book title spot too. And I managed to forget the Harry Potter ref somehow.
I think the difference with generic vs actual is that Covergirl paid up the $$$.

It's Archie. Archie did it. Mastermind Archie.

Can we have a Riverdale References thread?

Fun fact*: Scotland was also the only European country not to have state persecution of the Jews.

Ha! Sounds about right for Charlie 'the chaste ratbasher' Kelly.

Ever since someone (I forget who) described Chris Pratt as having a 'look at him go George' quality to him I cannot take him seriously in anything.
I want the 'Glenn Howerton action hero AND actor in IASIP' universe. Maybe life's better there, but movies certainly are.

Does anyone know what Charlie mumbles to Dee when he's crashing at her house? I got the 'don't be a whore' part. I'll probably catch it on a second watch. Not that I need an excuse to watch again.
