@Gameslaya: Yeah, you can play multiplayer against bots if you want to get a feel for the game and the maps. It even allows you to unlock the guns and perks in the same way. It's a great way to experiment with the different killstreak rewards or get a feel for different weapons.

The triple nut kick combo seems a bit excessive ...

Ha, that's hilarious. I've been loving multiplayer in this game. It's tough to put down — even fighting the bots is fun. I like how it populates your game with the names of your Xbox Live friends.

Beautiful and ... DEADLY! Run the other way!

I dunno. I guess I got sucked in by the hype for the first two games, which I purchased, and I ended up disappointed — though more so with the first game than the second.

@foursecondpin: Exactly, or during the stealth infiltration mission later in the game, if they had just said "Run ahead and Tomahawk that guard standing over there" instead of just the prompts to follow your partner, which would result in you getting spotted if you strictly followed instructions.

@Alsandair: Oh gawd yes! Thank you for pointing it out, but that stealth infiltration mission was just as terrible in terms of the game failing to explain what to do.

Something about the Hadron Collider strikes me as scary and awesome at the same time.

So far, I am really enjoying the single player game. The story is head and shoulders better than Modern Warfare 2, and I love the historical feel of the plot. However, there are a few rough spots.

@Vaylkon: Apparently, one of the features of Black Ops multiplayer is the ability to customize your weapons and character - so, if you want to be a little bit nerdy, yes, you can scratch "pwn" on your gun.

@mean_mr_mustard: The "blowing your balls off" feature costs extra."

Now playing

@tengobotas: This isn't of me, it's the IGN review, but you can kind of get an idea of what's involved (see about 1:30 in and later for a shot of what the reviewer is doing while playing).

@ssh83: I had the same thought exactly, but I see you beat me to it Cheers

Demon's Souls was one of the best games I've played all year, if this is any bit as good, it'll be a sure buy.

Ha, I've definitely already experienced how bad my 70 lb dog can mess up my Kinect experience. When he runs over to see what I'm doing, the Kinect shows a person onscreen squatting next to me.

Ha Ha, it was only a matter of time. I played Kinect with my wife tonight, and I was surprised the first time the Adventures game started taking pictures of us playing. I'm sure people are uploading all sorts of absurdity to the servers right now — will have to remember to keep my clothes on.

@Sparky13: Don't knock it till you try it. My wife and I were having a blast with it tonight. It'll make for fun parties with friends.

@tengobotas: You would be very surprised. The mini games on Kinect Adventures have you squatting, jumping, running from side to side, it's basically plyometrics. A few runs through the rafting game and the obstacle course, and I was sweating bullets. I've played the Wii, and this is WAY more physical because it

My preorder should be coming today or tomorrow. I'm actually quite excited to give it a whirl, if even for the simple reason that it will provide a more user-friendly medium for my wife to play and enjoy games with me. Also, I figure, it may actually provide a bit of exercise — certainly more than just sitting on the
