I don’t know what’s the Peugeot you’ve rent but they were probably the cheap ones. This 508 uses high end materials, including real wood.

Honestly, this part surprised me quiet a lot. I’ve recently rented a Peugeot 308 with this engine, and even with the car fully loaded we had no problem. Sure I would never choose this engine if I had to buy the car (and almost nobody in Europe will, they’re for rental company), there isn’t enough power and the gears…
