The funniest thing I read this election season was a Trump voter ranting about Mexicans taking all the jobs. A reporter asked him if *he* actually wanted the jobs they were “stealing”. His response was basically “hell no, give em to the blacks instead”.

“Good economic and social policy benefits us all.”

“The white people who are saying this to you are idiots, but I can tell you from experience that racist white people do not listen to normal white people either. They don’t listen to anyone except for the blowhards in their echo chambers.”

This is what happens when white people protest without Black people showing them how to do it. See also: Boycott Hamilton.

I don’t think they’ve done a good job at all. Pretty much their entire defense has been slut shaming 101 and making gold digger accusations with no evidence. It makes me convinced they have no actual defense and are playing the (wo)man rather than the ball.

I would say that any rape victim should pursue civil action before criminal action, and not going to the cops is a sign of her intelligence.

Even now, there’s a lot of work to be done. There was that study that came out a little while ago about how if you ask men “are you a rapist” they will deny it vehemently, but if you ask them something like “is it ok to coerce a woman into sex she doesn’t want” or “is it ok to have sex with someone who is drunk”…

The fact that he was acquitted is important in the sense that it does show how attitudes have changed. This seems like pretty close to an open and shut case now, but in 1999 he was acquitted. Again, things have changed.

I only just found out that R Kelly was actually on the cover of Aaliyah’s “age ain’t nothing but a number” albuy. Eeeew.

I’m kind of surprised he’s getting so much heat for this interview. I thought it was a clear step forward from an admittedly atrociously low base. He at least seems to be making an effort to listen to the backlash and try to understand things a bit better and do a bit of work. But yes, he does seem at the point where…

I don’t know who invited her to speak and the rest of her speech was garbage, but that sentiment was 100% true. These bros are just massively overprivileged assholes throwing a tantrum. SHUT UP.

FLOTUS is just the best. It saddens me that so many dislike her. She’s just awesome.

Yeah, the “good cops” who take offense to a statement that black people deserve to not be murdered can have multiple seats.

As Mikki Kendall said on twitter, it’s not surprising that a company that demeans pretty much everyone except white men has a toxic work culture. It’s also not shocking that people who are assholes on camera are also assholes off camera.

In some ways it’s the worst part. The fact that these people steal the Obama’s family values while emphatically saying they don’t have any, isn’t just plagiarism, it’s racism.

I’m honestly not sure if Trump is lying or if he’s just loud and wrong. It’s not a lie if you believe it and all that. This isn’t any sort of defense of him by the way.

I don’t think they’re doing it to get Hillary elected specifically, but I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Trump was a Democrat plant designed to ruin the Republican party from the inside. It makes as much sense as anything else.

It was pretty weird when she started talking about growing up black in Chicago.
