Hell yeah Sue Ellen Crandall! She had to sit in a Volvo with no air conditioning and clean the fat vats at Clown Dog just so she could provide for her bratty younger siblings. I love that movie and I love your choice, Becca James! Bravo!
And she made the worst shirt EVER! Poor Theo…
Look it's Pam and her pam-pams!
The latest GusGus is phenomenal and Annie is criminally under appreciated here in the States. Let's dance!
I will have to look those up. Children is about Mike, I think? After Winter, I sort of gave up on the 'spiritual sequels'.
Thank God there's a whole lot less gang-banging in Summer too… even as a kid when I read IT I was like "ewwww"
I know this is really apropos, but I'm digging your new avatar. Every time I see it "Lemme in the fucking house!!!" and "now I've popped both your cherries" run through my mind and it's glorious.
I have to admit that I hated A Winter Haunting. Yes, it was a very different vibe and Simmons is just a great genre-hopper when it comes to his books, but Winter really just made me sad about what happened to Dale after the first book.
Congo is fun and a hell of a lot better than the film… and it's a really fast read.
Could you PLEASE update on how Golem is when you read it? I too have heard good things but I have so many books to read… I trust your judgement, however. :-)
The Vacationers and I love it! Next up: a re-read of Simmons' Summer of Night (one of my favorite books of all time) and then The Teleportation Accident!
**Kid Rock shows up, hands out glass dildos** NOW it's a party!
Thanks for guest hosting!
Eh and I also forgot to give Mould some love too, since he workshopped with Trask for the music. Oh well.
Ugh. Michael Pitt. What a turd. I love Hedwig so much but I refuse to give him a pass for it… all of that love goes to Miriam Shor and John Cameron Mitchell.
"I've given hours of pleasure to the Arts with glass dildos!" — Kid Rock's new battlecry
I absolutely adore 'Ize of the World' from First Impressions of Earth.
Wow, I didn't even know that! But that's my fault because I listen to Sirius.
I know right? Fucking Cafe Asia?? Really? It's laughable to me that this is where it all went down.
