Agreed. I like Hamilton, too, but it’s a bit disingenuous to urge people to improve their own environmental impact when you’re flying all over the world constantly, whether taking a private or commercial plane.

Hi. The main reason I got rid of the Cayman was practicality (I have a 7 year old.) It’s actually pretty functional for a two-seater, and I even had a snowboard rack for it, but the 135i’s usable backseats and trunk let me take the whole family on trips, rather than being forced to take my wife’s car on trips. …
Too many miles, especially from an engine plagued with bore scoring issues.
IMS is less common than 996/986, but it is still an issue. The even bigger issue with this engine is bore scoring, and this thing has a lot of miles. Add in the lowering and other mods, I say CP.
IMS is a problem. Just not as common as 996/986. The bigger issue with this engine is bore scoring, especially at this mileage.
Thanks. Thinking of it was really just thinking back to old E30/E36 M3s and whatnot, and, since modern cars are getting so tall on the sides, I thought it would visually shrink it a bit. Plus, I noticed it was currently an option on the Porsche GT3 touring. I just found gloss black handles on eBay from a donor car. …
996.2 Targa (thankfully with the later Turbo headlights) -> 987 Cayman -> 135i (with several mods, bit of a sleeper.) There hasn’t been a car since that really interests me, since I want a small 2+2 with RWD and a manual. The backseats of the 911 barely counted.
You called the C63 beautiful in an old post, which is why I asked.
Yeah, I guess we just won’t agree. I love its stubby, upright design, and, as I said above, I don’t think there’s a better looking BMW rear end after millennium.
The current 2 series coupe is bland, IMO. They got rid of the drama and bulging fenders of the 1 Series. It’s also larger and sucks to drive, comparatively. BMW had already started moving towards Kia-ness with the 2 coupe.
“The 135i was a great car, but pretty much no one thought it was beautiful.”
