Yeah, we must have noticeably different builds. I’m 6’2” with long arms, so sitting in driver’s seat (in the lowest position) with my arms naturally hanging means the arm rest is too high and makes me hunch my shoulder up. The parking brake is actually a more comfortable pseudo-arm rest in the right place, although I…
Weight (particularly in the front) is the problem.
Really? If you want to get rid of the weight, this thread has the numbers for the two parts to do the conversion.
The 944 roof doesn’t have near the rake of the 911, and it has more headroom because of it. I don’t need lots of room back there. I just want more than garden gnome headroom back there.
Me too. If Porsche made a front-engined, four seat coupe with actually usable rear headroom that was on the Boxster end of the pricing scale, I’d be all over it. Unfortunately, I’m afraid that Porsche sees the base Macan as filling this segment.
The difference to me, like with the 928/944 vs. the 911, would be the rear seat headroom. The backseat of the front-engined Porsches was much more usable. It’s the reason I sold my 911.
p.s. I do think red looks great with white stripes.
Yep, I’m one of those guys who loves the browns, tans, muted yellows, greys, on small, vintage sports cars. There’s something about the irony of an unflashy sports car that I prefer
Cool, I’ll check out the FB page.
I grew up in a GM town, where my dad worked for 30 years, but I always preferred smaller sports cars, although I did try to talk my dad into buying himself a Trans Am with his discount in the early ‘90s.
Good for Aston. I’m not buying in this sports car price bracket, but, if I ever do, a manual transmission would be the first thing I look for, so I have to imagine there are other buyers who feel the same.
I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you also like Hawaiian shirts and muscle cars.
Is your “friend” a Targaryen???
Hey, well I’m assuming your friend at least has a great personality!
