Yep. I plan on keeping some kind of manual car for personal use, but, for my wife, who cares less about driving, I’m sure we’ll go electric when she’s ready for a new car in five years.

That’s my point. I’m not talking about the character or qualities of the car, which are fantastic. I’m talking strictly in terms of looks.  The roadster is much better looking.

Yes.  Don’t get me wrong.  It’s freaking cool.  But it looks like what it is.  A convertible with a hatch tacked on.

Maybe more like a skinny heroin addict who looks like a model from 1000ft.

The M is one of the few examples I can think of where the convertible is better looking than the coupe.

“Besides, it’s an M car from BMW’s greatest hits catalog, it’ll be timeless.”

Just curious, how old are you?  Also, do you consider a car like the AMC Gremlin to be ugly, beautiful, or quirky-cool?

Yeah, my uncle bought the M roadster the first year they came out, and he still has it.  I’m not normally a fan of convertibles’ looks in general, but the M roadster and Z8 are beautiful, especially in comparison to the clown shoe.

Oh, I agree about the whole car. I only mentioned the irony in regards to the looks alone.  There are a lot of drivers out there these days who claim the car is beautiful.
