That’s awesome. I wish Porsche would still make a sports car with a “kinda” backseat that’s bigger than the 911's rear seat. After owning a 911 and Cayman, I needed something with more of a backseat, so I ended up with a little 135i that I spent not too much money on reworking the suspension. I’m not even 5% the

Well, “fast” needs to be defined. It may have been faster on that track than a 911 Turbo, but it wasn’t faster in a straight line. Granted, the mistake I made was looking at the Carrera 4 numbers, not the Carrera 2, and the 1989 911 Carrera 4 was slightly faster than the 944 Turbo S in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 time.

Yeah, 944s are still cheap. The Turbo S is an outlier and was as fast as a 911 Carrera at the time.

Having owned a Cayman, I wish Porsche would make a current day 944.  The usable backseat is a big differentiator. Until then, the BMW 135i is about as close as it gets.

purposefully go on long drives, even on the highway, for fun. Of course, a manual transmission is a critical part of the enjoyment for me.

How lovely.

I actually think this is one of their best, assuming you’re going shopping for something post-apocalypse.  It’s not a great car, but I think it looks awesome.

Pass. Black is way too hard to keep clean for Lyft driving and/or street parking overnight.

So you say that don’t ascribe to identity politics, and then you post exactly that. One can understand the systemic racism and sexism in this country and still hope for a future where we’re not judged on race and sex. That’s exactly what created the Trump voter, because my fellow liberals are overshooting in order

I was at a parking lot meetup a few months back, and someone brought one of these Fords AND a 911 GT2 RS...and the Ford got the most attention. So cool.

I’ve got several pairs of the exact same jeans, and I sometimes wonder if people think I wear the same pants every day.

Oh, I agree. Inclusion is certainly different, and I’m all for it. The identity politics that I’m talking about are things like the overreaction to Bernie’s statement in this article.

I don’t, but I’d make it a $1000 fine.

I have been full-on opening my front door and yelling at people when they walk by with their dog off-leash here in Portland, especially when it’s a fucking pit bull. I mean, an “emotional support” pit bull just attacked a 5 year old at the Portland airport last year and mangled her face.  Idiots.

There’s a divide growing right now amongst liberals when it comes to identity politics and how far left the party should go, and I’m worried that our big win in the fall was a red herring, considering the president’s party loosing seats in the first mid-term is the norm.  I hope impeachment happens, because, if not,

The LP400 and older Lamborghinis are the ones for adults with taste.  I liked the LP500 when I was a kid, but I also liked wearing teal jam shorts with fish on them at that time, too.

I can’t speak for Rev, but I drive 300-400 miles a month, too, simply because I enjoy driving, so most of it is rowing gears on mountainous backroads. That being said, I’d imagine my wife’s next car will be an EV.

Yeah, it’s the nationwide network that makes it so easy, and I’d imagine the customer service is still better.  It’s really nothing like a normal dealer. It’s more like buying a washer at Best Buy. lol
