You have to have the sunroof on a 135i/is in the US, but not the 128i/1M. FWIW, the 135is is just a 135i with a certain package of port-installed options, so, unless you’re buying for collectibility’s sake, you might just buy a cheaper 135i and add mods.

When it comes to a small coupe that still has a usable backseat, there still isn’t anything I’d pick over an E82. Buy an E82 for cheap and spend another $5k on suspension mods, and you’ve got a fantastic car.  In 135i guise, it’ll be a rocket.

Ur(an)us???

Wait, Doug is actually the boss of people, or are you a pair of shorts??

Yeah, that was just from their website. I intitially found out about their opinion back when they made a custom BMW E82 suspension and said some body roll was a good thing, which surprised me.

The M3 should still have the manual for a while.

AlternativeAlternative opinion from suspension guru TC Kline Racing: “Body roll is not an undesirable characteristic. When the body rolls, it softens the transition of load to the tire and can dramaticly improve its long term traction and durability, as well as offer the ability to trail brake more, and get on the

I mean, not really, right? We just have the new M that precedes the standard BMW 3-digit designation (well, actually, it’s not totally new, because they’ve done it a little in past decades,) and that falls a step below the traditional M cars with the single digit designation 328i < 340i < M340i < M3 < M3 C < M3 CS,

BMW just created a new level between standard and M, with better suspension, aero, seats, etc., although these new SUVs are apparently full on M with M engines.

Yeah, anecdotally, I’ve seen a single Macan an AX, but nothing at a track day.

Ok, but then I think the same can likely be said about the new M SUVs from BMW, so it seems odd to say they’re watering down the M brand.

Why would an M engine be in a non-M Z4?

“I do think Brad has a point about the devaluation of the M-brand.”

COUNTERCOUNTERCOUNTERPOINT:  People need to only buy coupes with manual transmissions.

In the ‘90s, I saw a senior citizen in a Cadillac run a red light and t-bone a Geo Metro. The Metro did at least two rolls, landed upright, and the driver calmly got out and walked into the pizza joint on the corner, I’m guessing to use the phone.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying blackface is appropriate. I just feel it is a little more nuanced than people are making it out to be. Like your own personal example above, intent is important, and we’re not talking about minstrel blackface from the 1920s, so, assuming apologies are made, I don’t think being

If you judge your friends and family on outcomes, rather than intent, then you must be a real joy to be around. My six year old intended to brush his teeth correctly yesterday, but half of the toothpaste ended up all over the sink. What a looser. lol

Ugh, I’m almost to the point where seeing this guy go to jail may be a more delicious schadenfreude than even his father’s impending doom...almost.

Well, yeah, my parents knew. I’m not referring to my own actions. I was the only liberal atheist kid I knew, and I never dressed in blackface.
