Not mine. Granted, I don’t have THAT many male friends. Most of my friends are woman. :)

That’s all I’m saying. Stop using lazy language that isolates people on the same team.
Yes, and I sympathized with what overtheriver1991 was originally saying. It was the chorus of “no straight white men can possibly care” afterwards that was too absolute for me not to mention. That’s language from the other side of the aisle, rather than cooperative language, and I’ll mention it every time, whether…
Sorry, the kind of language I was responding to above is as divisive as the language I see on the right, and I’m not going to stand for it. I’ll mention it every time.
I didn’t derail the conversant. The posters above did.
At the risk of a pretty awful humble brag, my circle of friends are primarily musicians, intellectuals, artists, therapists, etc., I work in TV, and I live in a very liberal neighborhood, so my perspective is certainly skewed, but that was largely my point. We’re certainly not the majority, but we’re out there, so I d…
You were speaking in absolutes, rather than saying “a large number.”
I was responding to the posters above who say straight white men don’t care. There are lots and lots of us out here who do, and I don’t appreciate coming here to commiserate about today’s awful news and see that nonsense.
Fuck off. I didn’t make it about me. The posters above did.
This reminds me of the argument from Christians that I can’t possibly have any compassion or moral compass, because I’m atheist.
My hands are always at 9 and 3, so I doubt it would bother me.
Without a stick, this car can fuck off. Good riddance.
see above
You can fuck right off with that. I’m a straight, white man, and this has gutted me. Hell, I’m the one texting all of my female friends to tell them what’s going down today.
I lived in Hollywood for 15 years with my first Porsche, and then moved to Portland a few years ago with my second Porsche. You’re right, though. It’s probably more of an asshole vs. douche kinda thing. People are much nicer to me in a plain little BMW (I drive a stock 135i.)
Honestly, it’s probably any nearly luxury German car. When I had a couple of different Porsches (not super expensive - bought used,) people treated me like the devil, and, after I sold my last one, one of my close friends admitted to me that it was a super douchey car. She also prefers riding in my BMW.
In a perverse way, I wonder if the left would hope for a full scale civil war vs. militia-style small battles. The left has few guns for citizen on citizen battles, but the left does have all of the GDP via the cities/coasts, so it would be able to build war machines to a greater level. Granted, it largely depends…
It’s so funny you’re saying this. My family once had a Mercedes, and then we later bought a BMW, partly because my wife, who grew up in LA, thought that Mercedes was the biggest d-bag car brand of all, and BMWs are just kinda every day, nondescript cars to her. She’s not a car enthusiast at all, so just an…
If you don’t think Trump is by far the most dangerous president in the history of this country, than you’re either a terrible judge of character or a terrible historian.
