Huh?? I don’t care for him or his personal life, but this guy delivers in the looks department. I guarantee if you were in the same room with him, he’d be one of the hottest guys you’ve been around, unless you happen to be Lisa Bonet’s alias.

I just gotta say, it’s been great having so much content from you lately, Torch. It makes this site so much better.

No kidding. I’d rather have a manual econobox than some awesome car with an auto/DCT. Is this starting to become a memory around here?

That seems outrageous, but I’d still pick a heavier car with a stick.

Speaking of, this thing is bonkers:

No way. Those things were apocalyptic hell-machines right out of Mad Max. Still super awesome.

Fake news. This must have happened in Florida.

My best friend had a Wrangler back in the day, and he’d flip off every Jeep he saw, which cracked my shit up.

I never would have guessed this was a BMW when looking at the rear. Almost looks like a Dodge or Subaru.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, the 135i M-Sport is no Porsche. It’s a big compromise. Mine is stock ( N55 motor) outside of simple tune, so, while it’s probably about the same speed in a straight line as a 1M, the suspension apparently isn’t nearly as sorted (haven’t driven 1M.) I’ve got a list of relatively basic

p.s. BMW did market the 135i as an heir to the 2002, and this famous old 2002 review is fantastic for getting an idea as to why it works:

Styling preferences aside, the 987 still had hydraulic steering, and it just felt overall more “go kart-y.” I also prefer the more utilitarian interior of the 987.

I miss it, but not as much as you’d think. No backseat became a problem with my wife and son, and the 911 backseat I had prior was awful. I can actually fit two mid-sized adults in the back of the 135i (and quite a bit in the trunk.)

I used to own 6 cylinder Cayman, but now I drive a 135i. I drove right behind a new 718 in Miami blue for several blocks the other day, and, I must say, although the Cayman looked great, I was actually proud of how much better my dumb little BMW sounded compared to the 718. I’d still pick the 981 over the 718, and

Used to own a 911, and this is why I now drive a 135i.

Whew, she was a force of nature. I was in my mid-20s at the time, and she was in her early-40s...and I was all about it!!!

Really? I’ve bought 5 cars through CarMax, and it only takes a couple of hours at most, and that’s when I have a trade in. I wait until I find prices online that are inline with prices from other dealers, I get the car transferred in, fill out paperwork for a bit, and off I go. It’s way easier.

I’m not sure what you mean, but I had $7200 worth of repairs in the first few months, which was covered by my warranty that costs $2300 (with $150 deductible.)

I spent a little time with her once about 15 years ago, because I worked in a music store and she came in to buy a guitar. It was practically an out of body experience. She is fucking cool, and, you know, gorgeous.
