I like most of Brownell’s stuff. I know he can be deliberately inflammatory, but for the most part his takes are well-informed and thorough. And for better and worse, he engages with the comments section more than the other writers. 

If it weren’t for Torch or David Tracy this site would be utter and complete garbage. Literally nobody else here is worth reading.
