I’m just tired of driving boring cars in the winter because I’m afraid to rust out cool ones.

I’ve decided I’m going to drive cool cars all year round; life is too short.

I’m just going to make sure that the cool cars I drive in the winter are already too far gone. Yes, this Valiant has good main frame rails, but

Tracy is going to grow up to be some wide-eyed kid’s weird uncle. I mean, the kid is going to go to school, and he is going to have stories.

What happens AT NIGHT when you just might not see the “full rear of the car?”

Mini has chosen the Union Jack lights to highlight Mini’s British heritage, and has been using them for a while. With regard to the turn indicator light pattern, there should be no trouble at all for a driver to understand, when seeing the full rear of the car, which direction is being indicated.

If done right, LPG is a great solution. Cost effective too. My now 21 year old daily has had an LPG conversion installed roughly 20.5 years ago. I’m close to 400k km now. It’s a Peugeot with an NA engine though, I doubt these VW-based vehicles with downsized engines are as long living and reliable.

And it doesn’t pretend to be an SUV.

And, on top of that, it’s handsome.

The SW20 MR2 is feeling left out :(

That was a popular design element on Ferraris, appearing as early as 1966 on the 365P.

Citroën C6 2006-2012 also had such rear window.

I think the 308 got it because it was the spiritual successor to the Dino which had a very pronounced convex. Another great rear window oddball is the Lancia Flavia Sport Zagato with its weird horizontal convex, rather that the more “traditional” examples above.

Good job once again Raph. Writing an article with zero research and then updating it with the correction hardly 10 minutes later.

Where does the article say they shouldn’t have been pulled over?

I agree, but it’s the fact that they stopped them for speeding and then thought “hey these people look like they may have drugs or weapons on them”, is the real issue here.

I’ve been pulled over for speeding quite a few times, especially when I was younger. None of those stops ever resulted in my passengers being searched and handcuffed or the police throwing what they allegedly found in a passenger’s pocket into my back seat.

Before I was a 46 year old dad who drives 3 miles out of the way to save 20 cents per gallon at Costco (the math still works out)... I’d say I was pulled over about 15 times for speeding. Anywhere from 15 to 35 mph over the limit. Not once was I ever asked to get out of the car (or subjected to any search).

I agree, but it’s the fact that they stopped them for speeding and then thought “hey these people look like they may have drugs or weapons on them”, is the real issue here.

Does it meet this standard from Kevin Cameron, “A sportbike is a motorcycle whose enjoyment consists mainly from its ability to perform on all types of paved highway – its cornering ability, its handling, its thrilling acceleration and braking power, even (dare I say it?) its speed”

neat - so they do still sell the old sportsters but just don’t call them sportsters anymore.

Q1: With that fat front tire how is turn in?
