I browse r/teslamotors and r/cybertruck often — they really aren’t anymore. FSD is considered a waste of money. Most users recommend using the money upgrading to a higher trim or just saving it. SOME people buy into the robotaxi garbage, but they seem to have gone into hiding as of late.

So that’s good news, I guess.

It feels like this year is going to be taught in economics. Not in a good way.

Really? [suddenly intrigued].

I haven’t seen it in a bit, but can confirm that GIMP is/was registered as a handicapped plate in Illinois.

Yummy

DOGLUBR really not sure why dogs need to be lubed, but okay.

Well, count me absolutely in for the comparo. Changli really ought to send suitcases (maybe zip locs?) full of cash to Torch to make this happen. I want Sandy Munro weighing in on the changes, too.

I thought he was going to try to register it as a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle, but it doesn’t seem to have a license plate yet. It would be interesting to see an update from Jason on how he’s doing that.

Exactly. Taking the inside line into a corner doesn’t automatically entitle you TO the corner. In the most extreme example, one can take it completely away from the apex and technically arrive in the corner first, but carry so much speed, they slide off the track entirely. Doesn’t make it their corner. That, to a much

Point of contact. Max’s corner. Lewis should have backed out.

Or Lewis’s post-race flag run. You just stole a win (twice). Have some humility, numbnuts.

Things that are inside are more reliable that things outside? Number of cars I have broken a door handle on, 1. Number of cars where a window motor went out, 5. It really doesn’t matter where it is placed, a simple lever will be more reliable than a sensor.

I have had the unfortunate honor to travel there three times for work, when I worked for Dept of Interior, running a broadcast video dept. Every year there was a significant bird die off. Shorebirds getting Avian botulism, cholera, avian salmonellosis or host of other lovely diseases. It’s Planet Mercury hot during

Ding-ding: without the Salton Sea, we might never have had Trevor.

I just did a nationwide search on Auto Trader and there are only 2 with pictures (not in transit) for MSRP. Neither of them are the exclusive color for the year.

Now playing

The area was a sort of resort in the 1950s, with hotels and lakehouses and all the associated mid-century leisure stuff that entails.

Having spent some time four wheeling nearby, I agree. Its pretty nasty, though some of the relics and communities that have sprung up there are fascinating to me.

I’ll bet a significant number of those are, “in transit” or already sold/allocated.

Huh, I didn’t notice you did a piece on this, but I thought about you when I heard about it! I’m a part-time local, so I learned about it there and made my contribution. I’m sorry to learn I didn’t win, but congrats to the winner and the charities, best wishes to Bruce’s family, and Godspeed Bruce.
