The absolute enshittification of the entire internet hasn’t helped

I’ve come to the conclusion that, on balance, unrestricted use of the internet was a bad idea.

Nixon didn’t get a state funeral, just a very large, private one at his library in Yorba Linda. The late Hunter S. Thompson would’ve launched the Tricky One from an open sewage pipe into the L.A. River, and I think that would’ve been appropriate.

It galls me to no end that he will get a state funeral.

It seems unwise to wish death on a petty, vindictive shithead with a penchant for abusing the Justice department.

Look at other countries, where they have a much better relationship between the cops and the civilians and a lot less incidents of cops shooting people randomly or the like. Now look at the training and testing requirements to be a police person in these countries.

Look up your locals’ pay. My entire local department is over $120k after OT. They’re paid plenty.
