They overthrew an insanely corrupt president who built a private home on 350 acres with embezzled money. It had a PIRATE SHIP moored on a river that he used for parties.

Russia invading the Ukraine is what started ratcheting up tensions. The sanctions were in response to that invasion.

Who said war with Russia would be good? There is a difference between supporting a democratically elected government like Ukraine and defending a sand bar.
