Probably LPG more than CNG. You will need a fuel pump with LPG, but it’s stored at a much lower pressure and is way easier to handle. It’s also not a GHG when released to the atmosphere unburnt.

The US Government “gives” most companies some type of grants, loans, or other forms of money. Ford is no exception, but neither is Tesla (which benefits greatly from regulatory credits- which often makes up for unprofitable quarters). I don’t think that’s really a factor here, so much as Ford’s bread and butter is…
kit car vs. “go into a dealership and buy one” kind of car.
Up until maybe 4 years ago, this was actually true. It’s the EPA that actually ended up sinking its teeth into VW and punished them for cheating.
What actually are you pointing out? I would say nothing, because ‘control’ at this point goes beyond just COVID-19.
This is a real “they targeted gamers” moment
Racism and sinophobia? How do you think that Taiwanese and Hong Kong citizens - many also of han Chinese ethnicity, feels about being erased and censored?
I think “danger” is more of a byproduct of “seeing cool shit”. Not everybody hops on a motorcycle ride around the world, a cross country thru-hike, or the like because they have a death wish. If you want to live within your insulated sphere, then by all means, but let other people live their lives.
RE: safety, I disagree with your assessment. I thought “Volvo safety” was hype, then when IIHS rolled out the small overlap test the very first time, they tested a Volvo and it was one of the few cars that passed, and it passed with flying colors due to deliberate design (unlike the C-class at the time).
Your experience vastly differs from this particular case, where the vehicle is not only old but has been under a recall for NINE YEARS. If the dealership is unable to address such a recall at this point, then I’d be upset, but it doesn’t even sound like the owners of the car even gave a shit about fixing it.
I’ve come to realize that when it comes to commuter vehicles, “cheap” and “easy” is a bigger priority than anything else. Looking at this, it’s actually kind of hard to beat as a commuting appliance.
If this is surge pricing, as the author suggests (I haven't checked), then yes-the wildfires seem to be an obvious factor. The longer term trends probably wouldn't cause such a huge disparity in one way pricing.
You sound like one of those gun nuts who try to discredit news stories of mass shootings by saying things like “BuT tHaTs NoT aN aK-47, iT’s An Ar-15”.
I’ve got one in my 2006 Civic Si as well. It’s a dim red light which actually does a reasonable job lighting up the shift knob/cupholder area in the pitch black dark.
Granted, I can’t guarantee that 1970's engineers thought of things like this, but the idea of a mass damper isn’t necessarily for your comfort, but it’s also to prevent the car from hitting some sort of resonance that would cause long term damage. The fact that it’s bolted to the transmission on the underside of the…
Racists are one thing, but 'Fuck the CCP' is not just xenophobic red meat. Just ask any Chinese person in Taiwan or Hong Kong how they feel about the mainland Chinese government.
Thats because the sentiment is directed at the government, not the people. How do you think Chinese people in Taiwan or Hong Kong feel? 'Fuck the CCP' is standard procedure in these places.
Yes, this particular operator is indeed using a ‘racing’ quad, with a GoPro strapped to the front.
A relatively “mainstream” DJI drone has follow-subject commands that are relatively reliable for slower things like walking or bicycling, allegedly up to 44 mph. That being said, you’re definitely going to need Johnny FPV level drones and flying in order to get the same effect at high speeds.
If the house you grew up in was in the Greater Toronto Region, then it’s most likely outpaced your townhouse. In the past 10 years, house prices have doubled, and tripled (or more) in certain downtown neighbourhoods.
