Just last year, Honda Formula One engines were a mix of the biggest joke and the biggest mechanical plague in the sport. “Honda” was so synonymous with “bad” in F1 that you could practically swap the words out in a sentence. Now, Honda is the new engine supplier for F1’s third-best team, Red Bull Racing.

Probably because the battery pack necessary to do that would weigh over 1000 pounds, making it impractical to design for when 95% of the time it isn’t being used. More realistically, you could add a small engine up front and use it to supplement travel for longer trips. Call the car a Volt or something.

I honestly think we should consider building more B-52's. How much could it possibly cost? A hi-lo capability mix would do wonders for our operational flexibility, even in the age of smart stealth drone swarms.

My thought, take a page from Mitsubishi (the F-2), Modernize and update the F-16, make it a ‘new’ plane and significantly reduce new plane R and D and you’ve got a proven winner.
