This article just makes me miss the pre-covid world again.

This is a nice longform article in the vein of Jason’s Schreier’s reporting of behind-the-scenes game development. Glad to see this article type again. Great job!

Literally everything needs to have a copyright max of 25 years. That’s plenty of time for people to make money off it.

The amount of unsubstantiated hand-wringing in this article is very troubling. For example:

“...and gives a fuck about everyone else.”

Yeah, the statewide mask mandates end today, but individual businesses and events can still implement mask requirements. I followed the mask rules without complaint for the last year and a half and I still do so when a store or other business asks me to wear one. But like you, I’m tired of having to bend over

I live in wa and have gone to pax every year and I’m glad king inslee is finally opening up the state we are one of the last to do so.   To put pax on blast like this is like saying you can’t go to a sports game or even a Walmart where they are packed with people

100% I’d go. We are above 70% fully vaccinated in Seattle. I spent an entire year dunking on anti-maskers, telling them to trust scientists. Now I’m suddenly supposed to not trust those scientists? I want to get back to festivals and shows and hanging out. It’s time to take the plunge.

Welcome to the dark side, Stay a while...

I love Lance, I will watch damn near anything he does, but as a Resident Evil fan...

What the actual fuck?

Stop it. FUCKING STOP IT. What the fuck is wrong with these suits who continuously make these decisions? What kind of asinine, backwards ass thinking leads to these “Lets spend millions to license this IP, but chang

Although I didn’t like the game I’m glad in the comments people are calling the author of this article out. I’m not sure if he was trying to have it come off as a joke or not but it is just unnecessarily bitter. Even by Luke standards.

I mean i put dozens of hours into the game on PC. One of the best games of it’s year and i think i would enjoy playing it again on Switch.

i love kotaku but this site in general has taken a huge dip in quality after the mass exodus of writers. this site always had the snark but there was enough informative stuff as well to keep things balanced.

Pretty weird take given for a while *every* game had loud demand for a switch port.

The thing I’ve been noticing with Kotaku, is that every piece is filled with opinion - sometimes tainted by it. They can’t just have news, but must also salt that news with their opinion, very often negative.

I saw the news earlier tonight about this and was happy to see more core western games like this on Switch, and thought about picking it up since I played Witcher and Skyrim and Kingdom of Amalur on it.

i loved this game. eurojank masterpiece.

What a garbage article. Do better Luke.

I mean just in your comments I'm counting more than 3.
