And a shit load of STIs as everyone has unprotected oral and anal in order to remain a virgin, and no one gets tested for anything.

Well, if you train kids from a young age that they’re supposed to avoid sex at all costs and so if sex happens to them, it’s 100% their fault and they’ll receive no social support for coming forward...it makes the job much easier for pedophiles and rapists. As they say in IT: “it’s a feature, not a bug.”

Sure. The party that’s defended pedophiles, rapists, and adulterers is all about sex aversion.

Anything pro-birth makes me insane, but invoking Susan B. Anthony’s name based on one letter that was very clearly NOT written by her makes my blood boil. SBA A) didn’t believe a fetus was a person until the “quickening” at month 5 and B) didn’t really think women should chain themselves to their husbands with babies

Another great series of books that didn’t get the TV show it deserves.

I get a kick out of those references, and the BSG one in the premier whist Rick Worthy (a Cylon) plays Fogg.

It was a nice touch for Margo to reference Joffrey killing Ros on Game or Thrones in an episode that featured the Watcherwoman.

I wouldn’t mind that, it would create me as a character and can live a life knowing that I fulfilled something previously and is continuing onward with that sense of love and pain but it would make me understand more about who to care and love and who to not.

Can you imagine holding a whole lifetime’s worth of memories in your head while you’re still trying to figure out your own?

Don’t forget Channel Zero and 12 Monkeys.

Another really good show that doesn’t get the hype it deserves.

Watching this last night, I turned to Miao Yin after the lifetime scene and said “goddamn, that was astounding.” This season has several times hit a high water mark for the series, even though there is just. so. much. going. on. right now. Between this, the Expanse and even Happy, SyFy is crushing it.

It was a heart wrenching episode. It reminded me of up again just using the motion of scenes and no actual dialogue and happiness and sadness and sadness and basically seeing them live a whole lifetime which was so beautiful but also so sad, mostly the disappearance of Quintons wife...

It’s not “progress”. Society doesn’t just progress.

That...was beautiful.

I will be glad when we can get back to the objectification of woman and it be considered progressive as well

I love some Dick.

We know Sarek withheld Burnham from the Vulcan Science Academy so that Spock could get in, and then Spock went and declined admission to join Starfleet. So in Journey To Babel we don’t see Sarek very warm toward Spock or forthcoming about his love for Amanda. They’re just starting to break through long standing

“It would have been a far better gag if she would have shot the tribble...”

I think suggesting Prime/Lorca is dead is foreshadowing that he is still alive and will come back early in series 2. I didn’t hate this episode, but I didn’t love it either, the idea that you would put Georgiou in command is ridiculous! She should be an advisor at most, and in shackles at least, I wouldn’t give her
