That’s -part- of it, but not very much. The public at this point expects it and in some cases demands it. Madden laid the foundation. I don’t see that changing and one reason Microsoft bought them, because they know they can count on the regular infusion of cash.
Have you played Halo? The Warthog has never sounded like it was an EV; same goes with every UNSC vehicle/ship I can think of off the top of my head. This is nothing new.

No it’s not, he just isn’t a gamer. My girlfriend’s mom had never even heard of Fortnite. And he’s obviously heard of GTA, he just didn’t realize it was a game for adults. Remember.. he’s in his mid-50s. The fact that he ultimately ended up doing this should back that up - he just needed to be shown the game
