Ahh, the Jalopnik standard.
Ahh, the Jalopnik standard.
Who wants a black work truck? Especially as a fleet buyer.
I think Heavy Duty pick-ups are eventually just going to look like Rhyhorn with a bed on the back. All these extra bulges and bumps that are kinda squared off, but they don’t exist for any reason other than to make it look butch and manly.
I don’t know shit about drag racing or safety regulations, but I thought it was odd when the driver was dressed up in a full fire suit, yet the passenger looks like someone just tossed him an old helmet and said hop in.
How’s the 4-cylinder? There is a nice Comanche 5-speed, 4x4 for sale by me and I’m considering it, but it’s a 4-cylinder. I’ll primarily be using it for small truck things, including commuting to work. So I’m not expecting it to be fast, but manageable to merge onto a highway without getting rear ended.
You are stepping all over yourself with your arguments. What about all those Ford dealers that had to do aluminum body panel training for the lowly F150? Shouldn’t they be selling those trucks for more than MSRP then? How in the world can they afford it!?!?
Now imagine what you would have been paying if the manufacturers didn’t have to work in hidden money for the dealers so they were still making money while selling below MSRP.
Does it sell Leafs with their other cars though? I mean, sure, you might spot one or two on the lot, but are they actually selling? No, not really. Not at least in any real amount that means anything.
The canopy shaped rear window on the C4, C5 and C6 was one of the best design features (I’m leaving the C3 out, because the earlier models looked better without it). Plus it made it easier to see out of, which is a bit of a rarity when it comes to high performance cars (dare I say supercars?).
It’s the stripes that make it look too boy racer? Not the entire design that looks like New Jersey Bloomin’ Onion Haircut Italian tried to draw up a Ferrari?
Except that $38,000 Fusion Sport is like, $10,000 more than you should be spending on any Passat.
You are confusing car dealers and car manufacturers. The dealer doesn’t give a flying fuck if you are going to bring in a briefcase with $50,000 in it to buy your car in cash. They’ll still have $50,000 and you’ll still have your car at the end of the day even if you financed it. You finance the car, the bank pays the…
Clearly meant C2, just a typo. Hence why I said the C2 didn’t go out of production till ‘67, because I meant to say C2 the first time, not C3.
Ehh, I’d say the best looking is the Jetta.
Can an adult fit in the back seat without having the front seat pushed abnormally far forward? How about rear seat head clearance?
What? The C6 Grand Sport came out in 2010... no where near the last year of that generation. The C4 is the only one that had a Grand Sport come out for the last year of production. Also, the C3 had a Grand Sport (for racing) and that came out in ‘63 (first model year) while the C2 didn’t go out of production until ‘67.
What ever happened to the SOTV-B?
Exactly. When they first came out people were crazy about them. They barely sat on lots and everyone thought they were so damn cool.
So your argument is “Well, everyone (or better, everything) else is doing it, so it doesn’t matter!”
Sí Señor, mucho mejor!
