I think in Jolie’s case she was unstable to begin with so it probably is relevant. Not that it excuses Pitt or Thornton’s behavior or in any way excuses any abusive or violent behavior but I just don’t see this as a case of her being driven crazy by these guys and I think it’s not unlikely that she’s also volatile.

Agreed, but keep in mind Jolie was more than happy to help Pitt spend an entire decade portraying Jennifer Aniston as a selfish loser career women who hated children while she presented herself as the mother of all mothers. She could have put her foot down on that and didn’t. She encouraged it. The patriarchy isn’t

Team no one with these two. Looks like “Sad Jen” (TM) really won the Bermuda Triangle, despite the media’s endless attempt to paint her as a loser. Everyone else lost, especially the kids. Ugh.

I know some people are going to defend it because this is from the perspectives of the victims, and I think that its good that the show is centering the people who suffered the most.

100% this. It’s weird that this article tries to spin it to look like he was cosigning cheating.

Now playing

He talks about it a lot, actually. I couldn’t find the interview I first saw him talking about it, which was very honest and sad about what he’s done for others contrasted with what his choices have cost him. But he’s talked before about how he’s counseled several people in his circle when these situations come up -

What a weird take on what Shaq was saying. He said he doesn’t have the moral authority to condemn or judge them for cheating because of how serially unfaithful he was. And then spent a good amount of time talking about his regret and how much he lost because of his behaviour.

“I’m not just the potential victim of Johnny Depp, He’s also my client!”

It’s gross to me that you feel compelled to lay judgement over someone’s handling of an incredibly painful, emotional experience. You can not like her. But if they found solace and comfort in documenting this and sharing her story, it’s absolutely their right.

As a Latina, believe me, this shit MATTERS. If you are light, you are right. I had a friend who is pale white. I learned from my best friend that his mom was born to Puerto Rican parents, but she always identified as white. And she easily passes as any suburban white woman who voted for the current president.

They seem to ignore that Latino is not a race and that there are indeed millions of white people living all over Latin America and who are as Latino as those with darker skin. When your entire argument is that Oprah is being ignorant (and she is), it would help not to be ignorant yourself.

How does any sort of Puerto Rican heritage qualify her to write about Mexican immigrants?

Yes, there should be a legal process that assures uploads from amateurs have paperwork proving their age etc.

Daddy dom/little girl. It's a type of role play that is exceedingly popular, and very problematic with hints of pedophillia.

I agree. Wouldn’t the downfall of sites like Pornhub actually be better for sex workers who would like to get paid for their content? Sex workers should be protected and fairly compensated for their content. These large sites seem like just another avenue for exploitation.

There is a lot of stuff on there that should not be there. Beyond the obviously, I have watched several films that were in theatres.

I’m not 100% sure about this, but I would imagine that even PornHub falls into the category of sites like Facebook and YouTube where courts have ruled the company cannot be held liable for content uploaded by users. I would think they would have a legal obligation to remove content once notified by authorities, but

I do wonder about how any of these sites evaluate the legality of amateur content. If they crowdsourced that aspect out, wouldn’t it open them up to the possibility of federal charges for distributing CP?

Mind geek is a deeply problematic company down to the roots. There has to be some law that could be used to deal with them, but because “it’s just the internet” no one is trying.

There was a podcast “the butterfly effect, who pays for free porn.” and the impression I got was that sex work is fine, but mind geek is a deeply deeply problematic company. I feel there are existing laws that could be used to shut them down, or at least there should be.
