This is entirely my perspective on the expectation that Auto OEMs should be like the Tech Giants. When an OS update screws up your phone or computer they just push another update. You can’t just push another powertain onto a consumer if you fuck up your validation.

“whether they can match the innovation, risk-taking, agility and speed associated with tech sectors”

I look at modern car designs with all the swoops and curls and then I look at something like this 250GT, and I wonder what the fuck?

When I was younger I worried that my motorcycle would be the thing that killed me; now as I grow older I worry that it won’t be.

RIP Michael.

You’re absolutely correct that Honda is focusing on the “needs” and not the “wants” that consumers desire. And for the inevitable “you don’t NEED a truck like an F-150/Silverado/Ram” folk, allow me to put this into perspective:

Bad fuel mileage is cheaper than owning two vehicles. – I know it’s being wasteful to get 18mpg the eighty percent of the time I don’t need a truck. However that’s still less wasteful and a lot cheaper than owning a second vehicle.

Be rich, ignore the peasants because they don't matter.

Yeah grill-less cars aren’t anything new

All I’ve gotta say about autonomous cars is this:

They say an armed society is a polite society...

Neutral: What Should FCA Be Saying To Its Employees?

So much this.

“The infotainment system is fully customizable and recognizes swiping motion, so that there’s really no need for conventional buttons messing up all those huge clean surfaces.”

Some people just like to have the extra control and interaction with their car...like me. I can appreciate the technology, but I am not a racer. I like a

This looks better than any other current Audi coupe, including the R8.

Sets a dangerous precedent, considering VAG is the only company whose doings are actually being examined currently. Curiously, Mitsubishi has been lying about their emissions, had their HQ in Japan raided, and there hasn’t been a word said about that on Jalopnik. Just because VAG cars are the only ones people are

Somewhere a bearded man is yelling at his friends, “THAT 230K MILE TDI... NOT SUCH A BAD INVESTMENT NOW!!!”

Claiming parity with the best in the class is something for Chevrolet to get excited about.

Really. Buying something you can’t afford is your own fault. You don’t say? What a revelation. Personal responsibility? Not a real thing. It is ALWAYS somebody’s fault, and that somebody is never you. Just have to find them! And then sue them.

That advice seems totally unrealistic and not helpful if everyone dismisses it. I think you can manage your finances and still get a nice car.
