I can’t speak for Engineer_I_Am, but I work in aerospace. No MacBooks or macs to speak of. Everything is PC/Windows. All of our configuration management tools, design tools, simulation tools, etc are all built for Windows. And not the gimmicky Windows 8 and later platforms, which seem biased toward social media

I was wondering the same. Since that whole rear buttress assembly is not a permanent part of the chassis, my guess is it will not qualify as a “fixed roof” for track rule purposes. And good luck fitting rollover protection that clears a helmet without carving the whole back end up.

That 200 face... I think I threw up in my mouth a little.

Best number for a gearbox?

So. Much. Beige.

Y’all do remember who owns Ducati, right? ;-)

Well, that settles it. Streamed this for a few hours while taking care of stuff in the house. I *must* put a TV in the garage. I need to be able to play this in the background while I’m out wrenching...

Oh my goodness... just watched a 15-minute qualifying race, live. Camaros, Rover 3500 SDIs, Ford Capris mixing it up in front... and a Mini taking on a Rover mid-pack! Exciting stuff!

Holy crap, somebody remembered that the SS exists! ;-)

Wifey and I test fitted our car seat in a Mk7 GTI. She tried to sit in front of it. She didn’t bother trying to sit behind me... 3" or so between the back of the drivers seat and the front edge of the rear seat.

Definitely not the “best family car”.

Gawdammit monstah...

Somebody at Toyota needs to read this and realize their “design language” is now a verb meaning “to make ugly”. To “Toyota something up” is to beat it with the ugly stick beyond all recognition.

Just realized I said “a third of the price”... Can you still get an entry-level 911 for under a hundred grand? I haven't even checked in years.

I want a Toyobaru. Probably the Subaru version, even though I think most Subaru owners are pretentious twats (especially in the Outback forum), because the BRZ is more nicely equipped... and it looks great in that medium metallic blue that Subaru did so well.

Really? I rented a 2006 Corvette convertible one time in Arizona for a week, it was one-button power up and down. No getting in and out. Are you talking about the targa top ‘vette? The removable roof panel? Yeah, that one you have to handle the old fashioned way.

Yep. Wifey and I have a Sky. She almost never drives with the top down because of the pain to do so, but also because turbulence+long hair is not fun. Me, OTOH, unless it’s foul weather or I am gonna spend 90% of the drive at 70 (which is just deafening), the top is down. Partly for fun, partly because of

PS: can I get ungreyed on Black Flag? Pretty please?

However, while Formula E produces some fantastic racing, fans haven’t exactly flocked to it.

Sure, but there's a big difference between ignoring something entirely for the sake of the consumers, vs trying to minimize damage to them whilst maximizing the penalty on the actual guilty party.
