While it’s a common subplot in a lot of young gays’ lives to date a girl for a while--that is really disappointing that he does it for most/all of the season. Like you said, I can’t help but view it as the show keeping itself more in the closet than it should be.

I’m hopeful that he can’t completely fuck up FFVIIR within the bones of the existing story, but it’s Nomura, so ... I honestly didn’t play any of the spinoff games, but I hated Advent Children so damn much that I have little desire to see him or others muck about with it beyond that.

He got what was coming to him. Are we going to let Alison Roman get away with claiming she was dressed as some variant of Amy Winehouse in that photo, when she’s clearly dressed as a “chola” stereotype? What the fuck?

I feel like the core problem is the mother-daughter relationship that’s supposed to be the center of the film--or was in Chapman’s version--mostly falls apart once the mom is a bear. She doesn’t talk. It’s just a basic adventure movie for a while until things are fixed and then a happy ending. I wanted so much more

I’m really excited to hear the 3 tracks from Haim’s new album I haven’t already heard. Love them, love the singles so far ... but I’ve already heard half the album, so it’s hard to get too excited. Same thing happened with their last album.

I was ready to be underwhelmed, but this was far more entertaining than 90% of the “live” finales they’ve done, which are usually somehow incredibly boring. I loved it, I love EACH of the top 3, and I’m so SO happy to see Jaida win! She just put in the damn work.

In anyone else’s hands, this would be such a nakedly obvious ploy to extract tears from the audience I might laugh--but it’s just so good and so well done. On a related note, I love Joan Cusack (the better Cusack, if I’m being honest), and she should get all the awards.

YES! This show was so absurd and delightful, I can’t wait for more of it. Wong and Haddish were so fun in it, but my biggest surprise was Steven Yeun--I never watched Walking Dead, but a “serious actor” like that usually doesn’t make for a great voice actor but he was SO good and delightful. I can’t wait.

I was SO EXCITED for this movie when it came out, and I still enjoyed it, but it was never quite as amazing as I wanted it to be. Michelle Pfeiffer fucking nails it though.

I’m not sure I agree with her that arguing with racists in Insta comments is going to change anyone’s mind, but white celebrities/white people in general are usually in need of calling out so go for it.

It’s probably mostly nostalgia, but I love this movie to death. It’s awful, and I generally don’t enjoy PWS Anderson even through a b-movie lens ... but this one is special. Christopher Lambert and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa are SO MUCH FUN that I’d suffer through any insufferable dialogue or shitty CGI they throw at me.

I’ve known of her for years, but The Americans was really my introduction to her, and she’s so, so good. I can’t believe it took her most of her career before someone realized how good at playing a villain she is--on one level she just looks like this sweet lady, but she’s also able to be so ... terrifying, when she

Agreed—best call this show ever made was featuring a new character rather than Boba, which I believe it was originally planned to (at least when it was going to be a movie).

Much as I want these shows to focus on new story rather than tying into anything (OT/prequels/sequels—any of it) ... this is cool. I don’t mind people returning from death in SW (b/w tech and the force ... why are we surprised) as long as it’s handled well. Did I mind Palps showing up in Rise of Skywalker? No! Did

It’s so beautiful, but also credit to the music—in a series full of awesome soundtracks, this may be the best one. It’s so playful at times, but then grand and dark when it needs to be. The symphonic medley from this game (the one that came with Skyward Sword) is ... epic.

It’s really a testament to the other girls that as the season has gone on (and their attempts to hide Sherry get more obvious) I have noticed and cared less and less. It’s really a great group of queens with multiple front-runners and VERY little excess.

I’m NOT disappointed in the FF7 remake in the slightest, but if I’m honest with myself: This is what I really wanted from it. I’m probably in the minority on that—they have to make it appeal to modern gamers and I can’t blame them.

People, you can keep saying it, but Godfather Part II is a better film. The Godfather Part 1 is flawless, yes, but Part II is bigger and far riskier with its split timelines and dual leads ... and it’s still flawless. So, yes, II is better.

I TRY TO STAY POSITIVE MAN and then you just lob these truth bombs my way. I’ll defend TFA and TLJ and about 50% of the last one but it all comes down to Disney completely mismanaging the direction. I’m a fan of them trying out different directors, especially good ones, but they weirdly had the complete opposite

Same! I might be into it, who knows, but watching SO many people get excited over it (and it seemingly living up to all expectations!) just makes me really happy.
