Agreed--I think it works even better than WW2 because of that contrast between chaos and Wonder Woman. And yes, the evil basically Nazi villains were a bit much, but they justify it somewhat when the main Nazi murders the other German leadership--he’s a rebel within the German command.

Look, as long as they’re not severely evil, I don’t mind idols of mine being a little nutty. Alan Moore is a complete nut, and I disagree with his opinions on nearly everything (even of his own work, sometimes), but he’s a genius who’s given us so much. Miyazaki is similar—this is a guy who threw his own son under the

Tartlets? ... Tartlets? ... TARTLETS? ... The word has lost all meaning.” I still think of that line from time to time and giggle.

I’d have to agree--it’s aged better than almost any other PS1 game, so anything more than a remaster probably wouldn’t do it justice. Also, and I have the same extreme skepticism about the FFVII remake--I’m just not sure modern Square knows how to make games like this anymore.

That’s a good point—and true. I just like spending time with them.

YES! My top watched Youtube video (seriously) is the CC soundtrack. It’s great to read to :)

Was surprised at how good She-Ra was. I hope they get a bit of a higher budget for the next season’s animation, but it was super well written ... and hilarious!

I could NOT place her voice at first (despite her having been doing it since 1995), duh! Agreed. She’s got a great voice for voice-acting, so I’m glad to see them use her.

I’m ready to be disappointed, but that did look delightful. Not mind blowing, but delightful. I know we’re all disappointed Pixar is doing more sequels blah blah blah but the Toy Story films have only gotten better with each iteration (although 2 will always have my heart) so I have no reason to think this one won’t

Agreed with Dan’s assessment of WOOD, but I’d go further—it also sounds like he stayed up all night stoned looking for a reason to write to Dan. Edging barefly even qualifies as a kink—I’d mostly just call it a method of masturbation—and having edged and been with guys who do, the amount of cum that comes out really

Agreed--I didn’t hate S4 when it came out, but didn’t love it. The remix really completely changed how I feel about it--it’s maybe not quite up to S1-3 levels, but it’s close.

Fucking absolutely. There’s really not a dud character--they have probably all made me laugh to the point of tears at one point or another, but she cracks me up Every. Single. Second. she is on screen. Her facial expressions, her dialogue and delivery ... she’s just so, so good.

Yeah, I kinda hated master mode. All it did was make me avoid battles more often, which meant I was just usually low on weapons when I needed them. It didn’t really make it more challenging in the right kind of way, just annoying.

There is this serene, beautiful feeling this game gives me that is hard to describe. I could describe my quibbles with it, and I agree with many of the criticisms and hope Nintendo “fixes” them for the next Zelda, but it does what it does SO WELL that those criticisms just fall away when I’m wandering through Hyrule.

RIGHT? I’m only 170 hours in and I think I’ll probably finally get sick of it at around 200 or 250 hours.

They cut a good trailer that almost fools me—but the first part of this season was truly terrible. I just felt ... nothing, watching it.

There are lots of slightly awkward corporate guys, but none were so freaking charming and sweet. He just seemed like a really nice guy who obviously believed in Nintendo. He will be missed!

I thought the Dreamcast controller was SUPER comfortable to hold! I have big hands, so maybe that’s why, but I just loved that thing.

If they kill one more of those doggos I’m going to scream. I’d rather Nymeria’s army not show up just so I don’t have to witness any more of it.

I missed it too, haha. I can understand why they did, it does come off a bit odd narratively in the books ... but considering how many “endings” the RotK movie had they surely could have thrown in one more.
