A chagrined Federico continued, "I'm so sorry for my one-time lapse in judgement. I'd do anything to win my job back. I'd harass a string of co-hosts. I'd get a coach fired. Hell, I'd even murder a hooker or five. Just tell me what you want from me!"

I think it's the realization that he's about to have to kill (or be killed by) a mob hitman - and he knows after that he'll always be on the run ("I cannot promise the same to you"). So, in all likelihood, this is the last time he will see her.

My guess is that, given Hughes' history, if Billy Conners ever saw him pitch like a true ace he would shit a brick.

Seconded on The Fabric of the Cosmos. I am actively reading it right now and thoroughly enjoying it despite limited physics background. I'll take your recommendation and go for The Elegant Universe next.

Colin Cowherd immediately placed the blame for this lazy, stupid effort on the network's niggardly approach to finding and paying top copy writers.

[sorry, I hit enter too early. I meant to add "last Tuesday," but I assume you knew that. Carry on]

Sure, that's impressive, but it isn't exactly unique — after all, the Knicks management team had the exact same insight

I'm 24 hours late, but this was very good.

Not be able to watch my damn teams play their damn games. It's like living in a third world country

Yup - good call. Also, on Bambi - yes, the fact that the mother dies is itself the heart-breaker. But, the subsequent conversation with a 5 year-old isn't great either:

Congrats! I will absolutely take credit for predicting that you were next: [deadspin.com]

They are just SO big - which would be great if they didn't also think they are lapdogs. Hence my whippets. But, its hard to go wrong with any of the sighthounds (except Afghans - I just have to assume that they are stuck-up a-holes).

I absolutely agree. My kids are just hitting the age that they want to see the whole library of Disney movie. Between Bambi's mother, Dumbo's mother locked in a cage, Snow White being sent out to have her head chopped off, Pinnochio on drugs while having his entire existence held over his head, Cinderella in the

Just a thought, but if you want a medium or large dog that is highly athletic but surprisingly low energy/self-sufficient, take a look at whippets or greyhounds respectively. I have two whippets and they are awesome - they almost never bark, are very low energy inside as long as they get a good run once a week, are

I feel absolutely horrible for Sorensen, but he wouldn't be the first guy to go down hard trying to make a move while holding a Zema.

I actually haven't been to Phuket, but I hear wonderful things. It's definitely cheaper, though I don't think it has quite the natural beauty of rain forests and mountains.

Frankly there isn't a lot to do besides the resort itself, the various water activities that they will help coordinate (surfing, snorkling, dolphin cruises, jet ski, etc.), and hiking (there are a few mountains and parks, including one bird park that is nice). Some people go see the various temples, but they aren't as

This has been all over Houston sports radio (yes, I stream it from here - I am a geek). Everyone who actually knows what they are talking about (i.e. have inside sources) says there is no way. For one, I am glad - the Texans have no cap space and have to resign Williams (or not), Foster, their center, and a key TE.
